You can see where the latches are on the two pieces. The front trim piece was very easy. I used a plastic trim tool to just pry on the bottom and top. The buttons/knobs are all one unit that screws into the trim piece and can be very easily disconnected.
The back trim piece is for the 2nd row console, if you have it. It was a little trickier as there are 6 clips there and I used the pry tool from the side. The trick was that when I would pry up the one side, the other would latch back into place, so I used a second pry tool to hold the first side and then pried up the second. Same thing with the electronics, it easily disconnects from the console, and is held in place by a few torx screws.
I haven't attacked the dash trim pieces. The dealer told me that you'd have to pull the whole dash, which I'm not interested in doing, but I'm not sure if they are correct or not. I'm concerned that they may be screwed in at one or two spots.
