A catchy headline, but H2 is not sold or distributed as a "gas." While Hydrogen is in fact the most abundant element in the universe it abhors being on its own and pairs with itself, hence "H2." H2 is cryogenically cooled to -253ºC/-423ºF and stored at about 150 psi, or about the same as propane. Hydrogen does not exist as a free gas naturally, it combines with other elements like Oxygen. I don't want to be the rperez of FCEVs, but H2 production & transport, and fuel cell efficiency should continue to be developed to a practical state. IMHO, I think H2 fuel cells are a better strategy long term.

Hmmmm... I was a D+ student in HS chemistry, but I cast me a jaundiced eye at changing the battery chems from depleted to charged in that short amount of time. adding electrons produces heat, no matter the chemistry. a fast charger can produce 300+ kW and packing 50kW in 10-15 min seems like it could produce a dangerous amount of heat.

"Jimmy" is/was a nickname for GMC pickups ~50s-60s. I think the name had more cachet for the 60s Jimmy than it does now; doesn't resonate anymore. Maybe Chevrolet's version (there's bound to be one) will be the Master Deluxe?

Yep I saw it coming back in 2021 when I bought mine: a 5G Ranger Supercab STX. It has the one-year-only-available 18 in machined edge wheels and dual air, also a Grass & Snow mode in the FX4 package. Gonna be precious like a split window Sting Ray. They all laughed at those when they first came out in 1963, nobody liked that look at the time, and GM quickly made the rear backlite one piece for 1964.

10-4 I think Mazda uses a finer metalflake and a richer pigment than most other mfg's. When you next see a newer Soul Crystal Red Mazda notice how it has a heightened contrast making the contours and scallops of the body stand out more.

They give it that unmarked VIP Cruiser look that highway patrols use to transport the Governor and other dignitaries. Maybe they could give a way a Stetson Trooper had to the first 500 customers...

Maybe one of our resident Medium Duty experts can chime in in but I think one major distinction is that the F600 is only available with hydraulic brakes and the F650 is available with air brakes as an option

A large grille opening is not needed for a BEV. I imagine the next generation Mach-e will at least tone down, if not eliminate the vestigal grille, best to eliminate it altogether for smoother aero. Ransom Olds installed buggy whip holders for years on the Curved Dash Olds because folks were used to seeing one on their horse drawn buggies. As automobiles started overtaking horseless carriages the whip stands went away. As BEVs become more familiar, grilles will fade away, too, IMO.

It sounds like they are searching for a new white space.
