What you're calling deep cycle batteries really aren't. Still want to keep discharge to no more than 50%. True deep cycle in wet batteries would be (2) 6V GC2.

Communications such as that come through official channels and are made public first. Either a regional rep needs to be fired, or a dealer salesman completely misunderstood what he had been told.

As far as accept it or schedule it, that was from my dealer so I suppose he meant accept the order. I did leave off nearly all options except what I had to have for max tow rating with 7.3 and heated seats for the better half. SInce I am now towing with a 2500HD, I can only pull the camper empty with my dune buggy. Anything else and the truck is overloaded. So you can see, now I need a real truck so I had no choice but to buy a Ford to get the work done. I also would like this truck before next summer(2023) if possible so I thought I'd do my part to help Ford help me. I would like the hitch prep, the cameras and tpms but what is the trade off for time against a dealer or self install?
I am kind of stuck about what to do. I have had my wife's Lincoln serviced at 3 other Ford dealers around me and this has been the only one to actually give me good honest service. I really wanted to stay close to home if possible. I guess if this is the toughest decision I have to make, life ain't too bad is it?
I'm extremely pleased with this bracket to mount all the junk to. I'd have my dash cam mounted there too, but it requires some additional fabrication.

It's a tough call, and in normal times I'd say wait and have it done at the factory... but as we all know, these are not normal times. I was beginning to get worried on timing to get my truck, because it was bumping up against my time to leave for FL. It literally came with enough time to get it partially ready for the trip, have the new suspension put in the 5th wheel and leave.

Dealer is wrong
I ordered 5th wheel prep with customer placed RV camera and TPMS. It came with 12 pin connector installed in the truck bed and a separate spare one for the bumper, but if i read the instructions correctly, you can only have the 12 pin in one place.

When I looked at the cost of paying for oil changes, the maintenance contract comes out to be net 0. I've always changed my own oil, but with us traveling 6 months, I'm not dragging my oil changing stuff around with me.

If you get into a sharp angle, you may start running into an issue. Normally, I'd say it's no big deal, but on this trip, my first long stop, I was 90 degrees baking into the site, and came close to it on our 2nd stop. I might prefer the this type over the retrax design, but I like that retrax can hold up to 500 lbs. It works out well to stand on the bed to do things like working on the trailer

It's been reported, but I didn't investigate myself, the only diff between HPCC and F350 is the rear spring, AND a lower capacity sticker on the F250 HPCC.
I looked up where I probably got the 14k from, and that's the limit on a class 3 truck

I'm literally caught between events. I'll be 65 in February and joined ford 9 years ago in January. I could stay until Feb getting to both 65 and 10 years, however, my wife is medically retired and we're ready to start the next phase of my life. We've had too many health issues and as reminded by a dear and departed friend, everyday is a gift. It was actually a hard decision to stay until until August, but we don't travel much in the summer anyway, preferring to travel in the off season. Plan two years ago was to stay until 65, but Covid literally sped up our retirement plans, including the SD and 5th wheel.

I joined Ford after they dropped pension. I've announced a retirement date, which is technically a quit. Is Cobra available to people who quit?

All a bunch of useless rhetoric. In most states, due to franchise laws, Ford can't legally limit deliveries to cars based on price alone.

My golf cart uses six 8V batteries.
Yes, GC batteries have much thicker and denser plates. They are better equipped to handle being further discharged than either starting or so called deep discharge batteries. 12V GC style batteries are ridiculously heavy and expensive. When I have to replace batteries in the new 5th wheel, Lithium will be on my shopping list.
