  1. It partly depend on the tire selection, but all 20's I have seen have Michelin's. They are a great tire if you are going to stick with stock rims and on road use. I had a 2019 and 2022 with18" rims and I believe they both had Goodyear's. The Goodyear's were junk in my opinion and you will probably only get 30k out of them. Sold both those trucks early before they needed tires, but had planned to replace them.

Platinum, Limited and all F450 orders are closed for the '23 model year.  You can still order King Ranch and lower level trucks as long as they aren't F450.

I have not been following the forum as much lately. Where are you getting the information that order banks have closed or are closing relative to certain models or the whole lineup. I would assume the it would have been posted in the...

    2023 Super Duty Production Information

but haven't seen any updates lately.

    Thanks!

No BAP for ‘23?  I went on the builder just to build a ‘23 Lariat to reflect my ‘22 and Holy Moses!!!  Over 11k+ higher in price (MSRP) and without BAP.  Glad I pulled the trigger in ‘22!  I may have just bought my last new truck.  This is getting ridiculous

It really depends when you ordered in the 2022 year, but I think 11K+ is a little exaggerated.

    9/17/21 I ordered a 22 F350 Lariat, CC, 4X4 6.7 with ultimate package, etc $79,680 MSRP

    4/1/22 I ordered a 22 F350 Lariat, CC, 4X4 6.7 with ultimate package, etc $84,985 MSRP

These were identical builds except for the front springs.

Built today, the same truck with the newer features on the 2023 is $87,220 MSRP

Phrase of the day..... I'll go ask....

My truck is finally home, just a couple days short of 10 months from date of order.  After our 75 mile drive home I can say I really love it.  I don't think it rides much worse than my F150, in some instances I think it's better.  I'm attributing that to the F150's 20" wheels with low profile tires vs the F350's 18" wheels with the optional Goodyear All Terrain tires.  The 7.3L's low end torque really accelerates the F350 from stop lights compared to the 5.0L that needs to get wound up a bit.  One concern I have is that at highway speeds it seems to wander quite a bit.  This maybe just the difference in suspension and tires and is something to get used to.  I have to take it back to get a cracked mirror replace and plan on asking the service person if they can check the alinement.

I went into purchase process expecting the best and prepared for the worst.  I know that many have had smooth transactions and been in and out in a couple hours.  I was glad I was prepared.  The test drive and inspection went well with the exception of me finding a crack in the driver's side convex mirror.  'Oh we get that all the time, happens in shipping.  I'll go check with parts"....  "Got to order it, we'll call you". The spray liner was done by a third party, Mil-Spec.  Have not heard of them before but it appears well applied, they removed the bed bolts and trailer electrical socket before applying..  No overspray that I can find,  pretty happy with it.

The very first piece of paper they put in front of me shows the current MSRP of $73500, not the MSRP of $69,355 when I ordered.  When I questioned it I was told there had been several price increases.  I pointed out that my order should be price protected.  "Oh, not all orders get that".  I pointed out that I knew the dealer was price protected and why were they not passing it on to the customer.   I mentioned that it's not a secret and is a long term Ford policy.  "Did you find that on Reddit or something".....  No, several web forums I follow..... "I'll go ask".... After several minutes he comes back with another piece of paper detailing a "dealer discount" that accounted for the difference.  During the rest of the process every piece of paper they put in front of me showed a different price.  Each time I had to tell them to stop, that is not the price we agreed to.  Each time the salesperson had to 'go ask'. Each time there was a 'reason we have to show it that way'.  Even at last stop where we were with the person that takes our money, the documents she gave us had a different price and had to be redone.

One loose end is related to a $2500 PCO that I received literally two days after I placed the order with the dealer and prior to getting a confirmed letter from Ford. The sales person said it was no good because it expired April 3rd.  I pointed out that the offer was good on 'orders placed prior to April 3rd' and produced a copy of his email response to my asking if I could take advantage of it.  He replied at the time that the that the PCO "'will be taken care of at time of purchase"....  "I'll go ask".....  After going back and forth several times it became apparent that neither side was going to give.  I was told that the manager would submit a claim to Ford and if Ford approved it they would send me a check.  I expect there will be more fighting over this down the road a ways.

All and all it was really no better or worse than most any other car deal I've done over the years.  It took 4.5hrs and a lot of back and forth on things that were already agreed to and documented months ago.

Thanks to Ice-capades, Akirby, and everyone that participates in this forum as the knowledge passed on here helped me be prepared.  And cyberdman, if you are still lurking out there, thanks and I owe you a photo!

Good luck to all that are still waiting.  Hope they get all of them built and shipped!

    F350 Home.jpg

I don't think you will get the dealer or Ford to honor the old PCO. I went down this road without any success trying to get it applied to an existing order. I would recommend that you call ford marketing and make sure you don't have a current PCO in the system. Your dealer should have checked for you, but from the sounds of things they probably didn't. If you have a current PCO, then they should apply it to your purchase.

Just got my VIN and a build week of 11/14. If I'm lucky on the build and delivery, the Order-to-Delivery will be only 20 months if I can get delivery by the end of Nov. More than likely in 2023.

2022 F350 CCLB 6.7 Lariat Ultimate, Rapid Red, adaptive cruise, adaptive steering, ultimate tow, black pkg, upfitter sw, and a few other misc things

That a lot of options that had trouble getting scheduled/built.

I just received a $2000 offer in the email today for F150, superduty, expedition.  I had also received a $3000 one back in july I think.  But both came after I already got my F250 about a year ago. I like my truck well enough, and costs have increased enough that I don't anticipate I'll be able to use my offer.  Plus, I'm not quite a fan of the new body style yet.  I really dislike how the front box steps look...I know it would be a nice feature, but hate how they look

I did not receive an email, but I called Ford marketing this AM before heading to the dealership and I had a PCO offer that apparently was just posted this AM. I called my dealer and let them know, then headed over to pick up my truck. I'm sure glad I waited until today to take delivery.

You can probably look them on on Ford's site for your dealer's inventory.  Your salesperson should be able to get you the VINs to confirm.  Don't be surprised if the window stickers indicates they are retail orders.

Ford's website currently doesn't allow you to build or search inventory for Super Duties.

  8. I was on the phone with my sales gal the other day and she told me that their dealership is getting two Super Duties into inventory. I am picking up my truck tomorrow and a good friend is suppose to pick up his by the end of the week. I was surprised about the two other trucks and they are not canceled retail orders. It will be interesting to find out exactly what they are.

You may have success pouring through Ford's investor site, which should have monthly or quarterly sales data posted from their press releases.

I thought about that, but I'm not willing to spend that much time. I did find some data on Ford Authority, but it only goes back to 2014 and includes the F150.

You can search dealer inventory on the Ford site. Pick your model, click search inventory, and make sure you’re looking at blue window stickers before contacting a dealer.

Yes, but this only gives you a small radius around a specific zip code. It takes a long time to do a nation wide search this way.

I'm always somewhat surprised at the number of posters and customers that are waiting or taken delivery of 2022MY's and talking about ordering 2023MY's. They're by a large part the minority of customers that have the financial resources to buy a 2022MY vehicle to be traded-in or sold and to then buy a 2023MY vehicle. The economy and market conditions are changing quickly and the advantages that existed previously are disappearing as the economic and market conditions continue to deteriorate. Commodity, plant and supplier constraints will continue for the foreseeable future, along with possibly substantial price increases and increased financing costs that will all affect demand as the economic conditions overall change market behavior.

Do you have access to any data that would show the number of super duties produced per year for the last 10 or 20 years?

Used truck market has fallen off a cliff. My new truck is supposed to be here next week. Ive gotten 3 different offers well below sticker for my current 2022 SRW. Trying to go back to the DRW but it doesnt look like its going to happen.

Yes it has, but will sales pick up towards the end of the year with little to no inventory available? Also, if Ford raises the price much on the 2023 the 2022's will retain more value. I think a lot of people including myself are in a wait and see mode, but that could change quickly.

I'm picking up a 22 on Tuesday and have not decided if I will sell the current truck I have and/or order a 2023. Probably won't decide until end of October or November.

You'll make money on the trade. I ordered 2 MY22 250s. I ordered an XL early February and a loaded Lariat at the end of February. Both crew cab, 8' bed and 'zilla. Got the Lariat in June and traded it 3 weeks later (long story) for a profit.

I'm waiting for my XL still (in production since mid-September) and will probably drive that until my MY23 is built. Order early and by the time you have it, you'll get the plan discount plus any profit due to a raise in MSRP during your wait.

If you are referring to the X-plan discount, you have a contract with Ford to keep it for 6 months.

I am in the market for a new 2022 F250 Platinum 6.7L Black on Black with the Pano roof, and tow package.  I keep reaching out to dealers on Cars.com but all are sold. I need to purchase one within the next two weeks.  I figure I would see if any of you on here have a better way to find one or if any dealerships reps are on here that might have one in transit.

Also, how do I get the PCO certificate?  I tried to request a brochure online but they online do a PDF so I am know sure if there is a better way to get it.

A year or two ago you could call Ford directly and they can do a regional or nation wide search for the vehicle. I would see if they will still do this for you.

    • Ordered April 1st 2022
    • Scheduled for production the week of August 29th.
    • Shipped September 5th
    • Dealer called yesterday saying it was in

Lariat CC, LB, 4X4, 6.7, 3.55, Ultimate with LED, 20" wheels, Sunroof, Power Running Boards, 5th wheel prep and bed liner

Crissa, Oracle Ford in AZ has been really good about getting my trucks to me.

First, as you mentioned before, take delivery of the 22 truck, and get dealership to get you a good deal on a correctly ordered 23 truck when the Order Bank opens, since it was their screw up.  Also, have them work with Ford Regional Manager to get you expedited scheduling/Priority.  Then, trade the 22 back when the 23 arrives at above what you paid to make up for the 23 price increases…dealership can likely still get more than msrp for it…get this in writing when new order is made.

As to the other person’s Platinum or Limited orders and being able to get one or the other of them, suggest you ask/engage @akirby and @ice-capades here on whether it’s possible to have either truck order placed in your name when the order person doesn’t take one.  Making it remain a Retail Order, price protected back to his order date, rather than converting to a Stock Order that has no price protection.  And, still take your 22 if it shows up first, until one of those become available later.

    Just a couple thoughts.

    Good luck ?

Resell prices on trucks have come down a lot and may continue to drip. Taking a 22 to flip out of into a 23 comes with a fair amount of monetary risk IMO.

Thank you all for the replies. I have heard of ceramic, and I'll probably end up doing it, but I have never had a vehicle that was so seemingly impossible to wash.

Our Camry has not been ceramic coated either, and nothing sticks to it.  Water will bead up in huge beads and slide right off.  I guess my point here is that Toyota seems to have done a much better job in the paint department.  On my truck, i have even noticed the paint is thin on the front of the hood inside the super duty letters, and you can sort of see through it to the primer underneath.  I will definitely check out the products mentioned above.

Is it possible that your Camry had a paint protection put on prior to your purchase? A lot of dealers automatically install paint protection and charge  as a dealer add whether you want it or not.

If it was an F350 with the Camper pkg, then your gvwr would have gone up from standard 11,300 gvwr to something higher, like 11.4 or 11.5k gvwr, giving you the payload you wanted.  The highest gvwr I’ve seen on BOF with a gasser F350 was 11.9k gvwr, which had almost 4500lbs payload.

F250 add ons for camper, etc detract from max 10k gvwr.  On F350, they add to and above standard 11.3k gvwr.

    Standard GVWR on a F350 is 12,400.

Ordered an F250 Platinum SRW on 11/29/21. I am a priority 2, with no VIN, and no communication from Ford corp outside of confirmation email. My dealer has done some digging, and Ford claims it is not getting schedule dues to LED headlights and the axle for the 10k towing package.

I got scheduled with LED, bed liner and 5th wheel prep. I don't think you can pinpoint any one thing week to week.
