I switched to the ultimate lariat and added the led lights. Kept the trailer assist tho. I love the 360 view. Don’t really plan to use the knob to back the 5er but whatever. I also added upfitter switches cause why the hell not. I can use them to turn on the dc to dc charger on the camper. These forums are a bad influence. Now I have ambient lighting and fancy stuff.

Trucks ride better with factory 18's and look better with factory 20's. If you go aftermarket with a lift kit, they recommend 17s or 18s for the ride quality. I like to run the factory 20s with the Michelin tires and buy takeoffs to replace them.

Google Ford 6.7L Disaster Prevention Kits... they vary in price depending on Brand... average is somewhere around 400 bucks for the parts... they also work differently they have inline filters on some of them that help trap the particles that make it into the fuel line from the pump, some divert the fuel that lubricates the pump so any particles that do get into the fuel circulates away from the fuel that goes into the fuel line... once the particles build up though they eventually get into the  fuel line still from what I've seen in my research of the different ones out there. None are 100%.... it's also beneficial to put additives in each tank to help lubricate the Fuel because the CP4 uses Diesel to lubricate itself... and the lower sulfur content these days lubricates less... so more metal shavings get in the fuel system because of that aspect.... ergo lubricating additives and DPKs.... at least that's what my take it from what I've looked into. I'm no expert by any means... but I've seen information put there saying the in line filters don't filter down enough to keep particles out of the fuel rail and injectors. Another thing is to always make sure you've got at least a 1/4 tank of diesel and not to drop below that level or risk picking up particles and trash... and less lubrication for the pump...

I must admit, I am a little jealous. That is the highest one I have seen. They should be able to apply it to your deal now.

IMO it's not really worth it, but I wanted the factory LED's and I like the push button start, so I ended up getting it on one of the two trucks that I needed. The other truck I went with the value package and added the tailgate step.It will rarely be driven at night so I don't need the LED's, ambient lighting, etc. and I didn't want to spend the extra money on the little bells and whistles the ultimate package gives you.

The two trucks ended up being about $9,000 difference in price. If you run book on these trucks for a model year 2020 with the same features, they only book $2,000 apart. So you'll take a much bigger hit on the loaded up one. If you are going to keep it forever or a long time then maybe it doesn't matter.

From my research, I think the Lariat with the value package is the best value overall of all the trim levels. This opinion is heavily weighted on the longer term resale value, which is very important to me.

Happy camper today! Picked up the second of two trucks ordered from a local dealer. Crisa @Oracle Ford in AZ was excellent to deal with. They were very responsive and straight to the point on all matters.

Both F350, 6.7, 3.55, LB, CC, 4X4s. One was a Lariat value package, 11,400 GVWR and the other was a Lariat, ultimate package, loaded up a bit and a 12,400 GVWR.

    Truck #1 Ordered 4/9/21 and delivered 9/1/21
    Truck #2 Ordered 6/29/21 and delivered 9/14/21

Thanks to this forum, I was able to learn about and get X-pricing on both trucks. Super excited and very happy with the trucks and Ford! I am a die hard Ford guy when it comes to my diesel trucks. These are number 8 and 9 in the long Ford truck journey.

One more thing...I love the new screen and dash setup!

I went back and forth trying to decide which way to go. While my truck will not be a daily driver, it will usually be hauling when it is drove whether it be farm equipment or toys. I went with the 6.7 because it is a proven motor, have multiple friends into the 200k mile mark and one friend who finally dropped his first 6.7 at over 600k miles in a 2017 Platnium. While the diesel is more up front and more maintenance I think you see a good chunk when it comes to resale of the truck. Initially it is around $9000 difference going from the 7.3 to the 6.7.  I plan on keeping this truck for many years but if I decided 5 years down the road to sell it I should see $5,000 or more of that back comparing it to a similar optioned 7.3. I fully believe a 7.3 would have worked great for me but I see most of this trucks trips being longer drives so I look forward to the better mileage and less stopping.

All very valid points and makes complete sense to me. I just want to point out the you can buy a Ford Premium Care Warranty that covers 125K miles/8 years whichever occurs first for $3,000 or 8/150K for $4500. Most diesels don't have any issues until about 125K miles and that cost is $5K to $8K from what I have seen.

Not sure if I was clear. The 17 probably had AS, but if it did it was turned off. I'm not a fan of driver assist features. The 19 and the 22 do not have AS. I was trying to give a comparison of model years, not AS to non-AS.

We are still fixing 2021 models at the plant.  Yes the majority seems like fleet trucks.  I'm hearing we have about 2000 left, but I could be wrong.

I thought the same thing and brought that up when I was discussing the value of my used truck with the buyer's rep at my dealer. I was concerned about the 2021 supply hitting the market and he told me they had all already shipped and the only trucks left were F150's. After hanging up with him, I started to look around, run searches on Ford.com, and talked to several dealers and there was 2021 at most dealerships. Most were asking MSRP plus $5K for XL and XLT and MSRP plus $10K for higher level trims. Since then, a couple of dealers have called and offered trucks to me at MSRP.

Since Ford is having trouble delivering retail orders I don't see how dealer inventories are going to pick up anytime soon.

Installed the covers today. Overall I like them and they will do. I am not a fan of seat covers and it's hard for me to cover up the leather, but it's a work truck for now and I want to protect them. Overall the covers fit well. I would give them a 9 out of 10. The instructions are worthless and I don't think they are intended for power seats or the black leather trucks. I assume this is why they only come in brown and grey. I found it was best to remove the side panel trim that holds the controls so I could see better and route the straps so they won't pull or pinch any wiring. Overall it was an easy install, but it took a little time the way I did it.

I added heavy duty springs to the front, after the truck was scheduled for the "week of" and my dealer had the same issue. They had to go thru the Ford Rep to get it added and it took a little time to add and confirm, but they were able to get it done.

I agree. When I looked at the schedule, most of the expensive tasks were after most plans ended. If I do the oil/filters myself I can pay for the expensive service and still be ahead. Having to take it in for an oil change is as annoying as doing it myself, but without beer.
