IMO...This would be a rather poor way to treat a customer who committed to an order and Ford did hold up their end.

Why? The truck won't get here any faster.

Yes there can be delays in just about every step of the process.   in case you haven't heard
Ford is having issues with supplies (not just chips) and labor.  Ford's suppliers are having issues with supplies and labor. Ford's partners (i.e. GFX) are having issues with supplies and labor. Ford's shipping contractors (Rail and truck) are having issues with supplies and labor.  All of this has a compounding effect and makes it very difficult for Ford (and the other car makers) to schedule production and deliveries with reasonable accuracy.

Is it Ford's fault? Not completely.... probably not mostly.  Is there any easy fix?  Nope and the "Pick only two" rule still applies.  Fast, Cheap, Good - Pick two.    We all want our trucks to get here fast, we do not want to sacrifice quality, and we do not want the price to go up.   We have a problem that will probably going to take time and/or money to solve.   For now, I'm ok with waiting longer for my truck.

It is my understanding that he is in Tucson, AZ. If he buys anywhere in the state he will pay the tax rate at that dealership, not his address. If he buys out of state he is suppose to pay the tax at his address to AZ. If he ends up paying the tax in GA then AZ will give him a credit towards the tax due in AZ. If he paid more than is due based on his address then he will not pay any additional tax in AZ.

My point was that Oracle Ford has one of, if not the lowest tax rate in AZ, they are a small dealership and accept X-plan. If you live in AZ, they are a very good option.

Yes, what you felt was probably the new tires pulling just a bit. Although with too little of caster they it will tend to wonder more. I just scheduled my truck in to get the front end and castor checked at an alignment shop. I will plan to have them bring it up to 3 degrees castor if it is currently less.

The death wobble is a violent almost uncontrollable shaking of the front end. My previous truck started to dance around on bumps and un-even payment before it got really bad. It would feel like the rear end would jump out on me. My 22 is starting to show the same symptoms. The shop I called said they are seeing issues with the pitman arm  with as little as 5000 miles.

The death wobble is caused by to little castor. I have not heard a good reason why Ford doesn't add more castor to these trucks from the factory. The steering damper helps control the problem, so a heavy duty steering dampener will mask/help control the problem, but just know that it is still there. I have had a steering dampener replaced under warranty 3 times on two different trucks. The death wobble wears out the factory dampener pretty fast in my experiance. The interesting thing is that is has been worse on the trucks with the 18" wheel/tire package then the 22" wheel/tire package.  My 22/18" wheels/tires, with 6500 miles is starting to jump around more everyday. I am going to look deeper into adding more castor before replacing the dampener. Personally, if I was going to replace the dampener, I would buy the one of the two Fox dampeners.

FWIW Ford's 48 gallon is only on the CCLB (176-inch WB) builds.  The aftermarket figured out how to get a 60 gallon tank in the CCSB and 68 gallon in the CCLB.  Now you're talking a 1,100 mile range w/o a trailer on that CCLB!  :-)   I have no doubt Ford tries to size things for most customers and it keeps the capacity ratings higher.   Some would just like the option if they know they will be getting sub 10MPG or less.

22 CC, LB, 6.7 4X4 has an 800 mile range without a trailer. If you buy a grocery getter, then they come with a grocery getter tank...LOL

    Thank You Toolman, and Ranger!
Our nation is sure a mess! When we made everything here in the US we did not have these issues. Not only does having US manufacturing allow us to obtain products in a timely manner but it employs folks who since 1979 are now unemployed, on drugs and depressed with no path to sustainability in life.
Meanwhile China has lifted one Billion citizens out of poverty and has produced more ‘Unicorn Companies’ (earning $1B annually) since 2016 than the United States has since 1971.
There is a direct line from rich businesses  sending jobs overseas to the abject poverty, homelessness, and drug addiction we see daily in the USA. In addition the exodus of manufacturing was made possible by US Politicians who gave tax credits to those relocating outside of the US.
this coupled with China’s incentives, free land, no EPA, unlimited workforce, low wages, lower taxes than USA created the exodus we endure now.
its a sad day when we rely on China for everything.  Hell we dont even manufacture any prescriptions millions require daily.
sorry for the rant and I appreciate the help

If this crap keeps up...the market pricing for SD trucks will go from crazy high prices to ridiculously low.

Many people that have 3/4 or 1 t trucks that do not tow or haul and just use them as daily drivers will be dumping them. I can see the market getting flooded with used HD trucks if this keeps up.

6.7, 3.55, cc, LB, 4X4, 20" wheel and tire package

I just drove my truck, 6.7L, 866 miles, empty, except 3 passengers and luggage, across AZ. Highway, 2 lane, hills and traffic. I drove between 65 and 85, in the gas a lot passing and pulling hills. Dash says that I got 18.0 MPG. During most of the trip it registered 18.2 MPG. I was pretty surprised and happy to see that. Did it all on one tank of fuel and still have 91 miles to go until empty.

A week and a half before, I got around 6 MPG pulling my 5th wheel, weighing around 17K pounds across AZ into CA, mostly freeway driving. I typically travel around 10 MPH over the speed limit. A front was pushing through and I was driving into strong headwinds, pushing me and all the big rigs around on the road. At one point in CA we were down to 20 MPH in blinding dust. It was that bad.

I didn't get it for the fuel mileage, I'm just sharing information as requested by the OP.

Yes it cost more, but so does a Super Duty over an F150. The high maintenance cost of a diesel isn't typically a factor until around 125K miles.

If you get 2 in December you can get 2 more in January.

That’s my point.  Nobody has a problem paying well below MSRP a when it’s a buyer’s market (my F150 was discounted almost $10k) but they do t like it when it’s the other way around.

I will definitely disagree.  This made up term gouging actually has a use in controlling inventory.

When Hurricane Sandy blew through the east coast, one enterprising gas station rented a generator to run his entire station, staged fuel carriers outside the hurricane zone and raised his prices to cover his costs and make a profit.  NJ forced the station to close, so nobody won.

If I have to pay $2.00 per gallon, I'm going to fill up my cars and gas cans.  If I have to pay $7.00 per gallon, I'm going to put enough gas in the car to get around for a week or so, and only enough gas cans to run the generator for that same week.  Same thing is true for plywood, raise the price and people will move heaven and earth to get wood where it needs to be.
