  1. To jump in on some discussions I seen between @Safety6 and @Forderorder not that I am the expert, but to only shed some light and if you look earlier in this thread there may be some answers to your question you referenced. Just so you all can be mad with me, I ordered my Platinum F450 in April and took delivery of it on the 15th of this month. You can look back in this thread for my posts that show in detail my timeline with manufacturing and rail tracking. Now to touch on the topic. I am not sure, why person “B” would get their truck before person “A” being that person “A” ordered first. This very topic is explained earlier in this thread which deals with the dealerships allocations. I don’t understand it, but if the dealer you ordered from doesn’t have any available allocations then your order could get passed up by person “B” ordering from a dealership with better or available allocations. Again I am not the expert and others on here can jump on if needed to further explain. This of course does not excuse the dealership from doing what needs to happen for the customer and you can read several horror stories on this very topic on this and other forums.
  2. I tend to keep vehicles for a long while, I ordered my last F450 in 2012 and only got rid of it because the thing appreciated so darn well recently. I sold it this summer for $65K, the dealer was only going to give me $40K if traded. To the ceramic, it was included with the platinum service package I purchased through my dealer. Included additional warranty for the tires, interior as well as all the fluid changes and maintenance. Some would say it’s a waste of money, but I got a better deal than most being my wife used to work for the dealer and I have a very good relationship with them from us buying a lot of vehicles from them over the past 10 years.so yes I’d say it’s worth it and also there are other options out there to have PPF installed along with the ceramic on areas prone to stone chips. I heard that is about $3K.
  3. Thanks. I hope everyone else gets a nice Christmas present from ford soon also. Well a paid present at least.
  4. Just got my ceramic coating completed today. Now I need to work on getting all these parts installed. Oh and my air bag kit is on back order.
  5. The only thing I do t like about the air kits is the rigid air lines. I replace them with polyurethane that is easier to install and won’t get dry, brittle and crack.
  6. I purchased the Firestone Ride Rite 2828 wireless system. I had this on my 2013 F450 and didn’t have any issues with it. Completely bolt on kit, no drilling required.
  7. ATTA Alluminum Tank & Tank Accessories freedom fill 45 gallon under roll top tonneau cover. Not installed yet though. https://www.attatank.com/
  8. Ahh yes my twin… mine goes in for ceramic coating tomorrow. Still got to put my auxiliary tank in. I also have a bunch of goodies from SPE to install (cold & hot side intercooler pipes, disaster prevention kit for the CP4, CCV internal catch can & CCV reroute kit) already installed the S&B cold air intake this weekend and I’ve got 509 miles thus far.
  9. I’ll bet they get you actually delivered this week. My dealer got notified the morning of that it was loaded on the car hauler for delivery that afternoon. Post up some of that truck porn when you get it. Also finished installing S&B air box today.
  10. Well maybe it’s back now, when I went to build one it wasn’t there, only the gooseneck kit.
  11. I went on ford.com last night to build an F250 and the fifth wheel prep was an option to add, however there is no option to add the 5th wheel hitch itself. You can add the gooseneck parts though. So if you need your truck there are plenty of good aftermarket options out there that are probably readily available that I would just order a B&W kit and cancel it on the build.
  12. Maybe this will be of help, mine went to the body shop for tonneau cover and bedliner. It was at the body shop for about 7 days I guess. 13. In a dark setting out of any light it looks black. But when it’s in the sunlight. Let me tell you that paint sparkles and shines and a whole lotta words I will refrain from stating here.
  14. Here are some “spicy” photos to tease everyone. I don’t actually pick it up until later today.
