I'm in the same damn boat. My dealer even tells me "when its scheduled you'll hear from me. No need to keep asking me" Like what the hell. I aint got time to be waiting around. I think I'm cancelling and going to pick a 21 that's now being delivered daily to dealers. In just the last week I've tracked a bunch that were delivered to dealers. THe difference in their options vs mine is not enough for me to sit around and wait for mine to be scheduled.
COST was a big factor for me. Replacing Fuel Pumps etc is very expensive in a diesel as are injectors etc. The 7.3 I could do every single repair on it with ease and it wouldn't cost a fortune. Next was the cost of diesel and I also carry around ATVs etc. I'd prefer to have spare gas tanks for all the engines instead of some gas and some diesel.
The other factor was that I will never tow more than 10k. Even at that, I'm more of a weekend RV'er and its just once a month at that.
Well said. The dude puts up an image that is meant to be seen only by people who are in the know and expects those of us who have no idea what that sheet means to not have questions about it.
I placed my order May 8th but my dealer didn't let me know about the CVOP until JUN 8th. So I filled it out, sent pic of my DL and then he confirmed it then. I'm hoping I get scheduled next week. I have found 21's that are similar to what I want but id rather have a 22' already as its a newer year on paper.
I'm still bitter those with higher commodity requirement trucks ordered even after my simple XL are getting BUILD DATES and VINS already. Its really not fair but oh well.
I don't see why. Assembly runs the same speed now as it did before pandemic. so the workers are taking the same amount of time to finish a vehicle. Not sure what quality would be lost.
