2022 Super Duty Orders & Discussion

I'm at a complete loss for how Ford is choosing which vehicles to build. Someone deep inside the bowels of FORD knows how they are selecting orders. Sure would be nice if they enlightened the public so it's not a guessing game. I see posts with vehicle configurations that are very very similar but ordered a month or more apart. The more recent order will get a VIN while the other is still on standby... It just doesn't make any sense.

Since today is a scheduling day, does that mean that all those scheduled for the month get notified today?

I provided a copy of my driver's license and my $1,000 check on the day I ordered 5/3/21. I did check with my dealer yesterday and they confirmed that my order was COVP approved and provided me with a "Tracking Number" and "Authorization Number." I probably can't do anything with those numbers but at least I know they are following the proper protocals.

If my order on May 3rd is "clean" do I need to ask the dealer if it was COVP approved?

    22MY F350 Unscheduled Clean

F350 XLT ordered May 3rd. I've been told that my order is "Unscheduled clean" should I still ask if it is COVP approved or does clean mean that it is already COVP approved?

Thanks for that feedback. I'm wondering if dropping features from our order had any impact on our order link going bad? I suppose I have no room to complain since March is quite a bit earlier in the year... I don't have a VIN yet either. It would be nice if they took the first in first out approach so you wouldn't have to wait so long. If it drags on, maybe consider looking nationwide at existing new inventory to see if you can find a suitable replacement that the dealer can pull in for you? My local dealer in Virginia is getting inventory. I also ordered an F-350 but mine is the peasant model (XLT)... Or is the XL the peasant model? 4x4 6.7L Diesel. I deleted my Pro Trailer Backup Assist upgrade in an effort to speed things up.

I'm hoping someone can offer some insight into what may be going on with my online order link. Has anyone had this issue? The email that we all get from Ford confirming our orders was sent to me on the day I placed my order, May 3, 2021. That link no longer works... This is what I get now: "No webpage was found for the web address: https://m.t.email-ford.com/nl/jsp/m.jsp?c=%407sanUaBpcDo%2Fh4qJDFi7g1wTM%2FWZ3dG4cKeJ0xHICkA%3D" First I thought It must be related to my PC so I cleared my cache and even tried a different browser. No luck.. So I tried it from another PC, still no luck. I called my dealer and the best I could get out of them was that they have no idea why it's not working but my order is in the system, so call the corporate customer marketing service line. I called Marketing and they also confirmed that my order appears to be okay, but no VIN assigned yet. My dealer has the "don't call us we'll call you" approach and I've only spoken to them 3 times since May. It's not like I'm the problem customer. This link should work and someone in the corporate structure has their finger on the button to fix it. I just can't seem to get anyone to take ownership of the problem and fix it. Any feedback/suggestions are appreciated.

Is the Order Status Link Down?

Thanks, F350 Mike. No Vin yet but Ford Customer Service told me on the phone a few minutes ago that they have my order placed on May 3rd. No status update yet other than "Ordered." When I noticed the link was not returning any status, I thought the worse...
  11. When I click on my order status link from my original order confirmation email, it appears to no longer be a valid link, making me nervous the order is no longer in the system. The status should only be Order Confirmed since being placed on May 3rd. Has anyone else found the link to be down? I'm referring to the one that shows the status "Order Confirmed>Scheduled for Production>Built>Shipped" Thanks in advance This m.t.email-ford.com page can’t be found No webpage was found for the web address: https://m.t.email-ford.com/nl/jsp/m.jsp?c=%407sanUaBpcDo%2Fh4qJDFi7g1wTM%2FWZ3dG4cKeJ0xHICkA%3D HTTP ERROR 404

New to BlueOval, waiting on My22 Super Duty

Glad you have some information. I ordered an MY22 F-350 XLT on May 4th, and still no information other than the initial Ford email acknowledging the order. Glad you are making some forward progress.

I have no idea, but when I placed my order for an F350 on May 3rd, the dealer told me that based on their internal information, they HOPE they can deliver by December or January... So for me, any date before then is a gift... We'll see...

I'm in the same boat with an F-350 ordered on May 3rd and don't have an answer for you. Having said that, I think we're at the mercy of a chip production rate that probably varies from week to week/month to month. If the rate of chip production and distribution were constant (never changing), and there wasn't a backlog of trucks on the lot waiting for chips, then I think we could somewhat predict a delivery month. If anyone with inside knowledge could update the forum weekly with build date to delivery date timelines that would be very helpful to those of us that need to plan or prepare for delivery. Thanks in advance
