  1. I called my local dealer and they weren't taking x-plan and wanted $1000 over invoice if I ordered through them. I found a larger dealership in Dallas that did accept the x-plan. When I called them after placing my order and spoke with the Sales Manager, he said they were NOT accepting x-plan for Super Duty trucks. After speaking with the GM, he assured me I would get x-plan, so it sounds like they aren't taking it any longer.
  2. Absolutely that helps!! A simple "I don't know" is as valid of an answer as any. Without sounding too conspiratorial here, if a competitor knew exactly what chips are in short supply, I suppose they could theoretically buy up what few chips are becoming available thereby causing Ford even more headaches. My interest in the topic was one of mere curiosity. Such a low level of curiosity that I had not posted the question myself. I just hate to see someone scolded for asking a question - even if it had been previously asked. Thanks, Fuzzy!
  3. See, this is the condescension that surprises me about some Moderators. How do YOU know if anyone here would understand what the modules do? And, just because it is "meaningless" to you, it's obviously not meaningless to everyone. I just don't understand why you can't ignore a thread if you don't like it or don't know the answer instead of discounting the question as "meaningless."
  4. I can certainly understand your frustration. And you've provided a plethora of very useful information that I've read here. For that, I thank you. Although I haven't been on this board very long, I've read a lot (though not all) of its content. And, like I said earlier, I'm already annoyed at all the multiple questions about priority codes, etc. And, like you said, if people would just take the time to read before posting a question it would eliminate a lot of repetitive topics. But, I still haven't seen a definitive answer to the OP's question - in this thread or any other. It appears that no one on this board knows what the missing chip(s) do, or is not willing to divulge that information. It's certainly not the end of the world if that question isn't answered, obviously, but no one said it is.
  5. Ok, I can understand that. This was the first time I'd seen the question asked. I know that in the limited time I've been here I've already become a little annoyed at the constant questions surrounding priority codes?
  6. I'm a little surprised at the responses to what seems to be a legitimate question. I, too, am curious about what the chip's (or chips') function is/are. While all of us buyers are eager to get our vehicles, just because someone asks a novel question doesn't mean they're trying to scheme a way to get their vehicle faster. Forums are for the sharing of information and ideas. The question was posted in its own topic under what seems to be the appropriate sub-forum. I would think responses would be more helpful, or just nothing at all.
  7. Call the Ford 800# and give them your Order Code & Sales Code and just ask them if the order is in their system. That way you don't have to wonder.
  8. I thought stock orders weren't going to production until after retail orders.
  9. Ice just posted in another area on here that all 22MY Super Duty XLT with certain packages are not being scheduled until further notice.
  10. Sales Code: F52002 Order Code: 0012 Can you check this, please? Thanks!
  11. I won't dispute what you say, as I don't know. But, as a former LEO myself, I can estimate those odds of being about the same as winning the lotto... ?
  12. Someone theorized that in today's climate, it's unlikely we'll see many incentives or PCOs. Just way more demand than supply right now. But, considering I just ordered a F-250, I hope they're wrong.
  13. I researched this myself because no one at the dealership could answer this for me. In Texas, if the truck has a GVWR of 10,000 or less, the registration each year is $54. If the GVWR is between 10,001 & 18,000 (don't hold me to the upper number) the registration is more than double that per year. So yes, I checked the 9900 GVWR checkbox on my new order...
  14. New forum member here. I grew up a GM man, but in 2002 I bought my first Super Duty. Been a Ford man ever since. Had that 2003 F-250 Lariat FX4 CCSB, a 2010 F-150 XLT 4x4 CCSB, then a 2018 F-250 Platinum FX4 CCSB that I just traded in for more than I paid for it. On order now is a 2022 F-250 Limited FX4 CCSB. Plus, drove a new LTD, Crown Vic or Expedition every year when I was a cop down here in Texas.
  15. When I ordered my 2022 F-250, they told me they never set a priority below 15, and they lowered mine from 19 to 15. I didn't want to argue, because this is the first vehicle I've bought from them and they're a pretty large dealership in Dallas, so I figure they have regular customers they will give higher priority. But yes, it's my understanding that every dealer can set the priority between 10 & 19 at their own discretion.
