  1. Interesting design, I debated about going with one of the several Godzilla designs out there, but in the end decided to keep it simple. Plus go a little retro with the vinyl.
  2. I got my F-350 XLT in September, but wanted to wait until the vinyl was applied before posting pics. I'll spare the interior pics, but you get the idea. Wonder if Ford will ever offer this as a factory option again?
  3. I began my F-350 ordering experience with the local Ford dealership nearest me (Bessemer, AL). I have bought more vehicles there than I can count since it opened in 2001, so no-brainer, or so I thought. My best way to sum up the ordering process at Town and Country Ford was as follows: 1) Sales guy assumed, I guess, that it was a "definite sale" given my history, so, offered no incentives, and REALLY low-balled my trade (2013 F-150 STX, less than 100k miles). 2) Got 2 crucial items on my order build sheet wrong, one being the color. Also "added" an option "for me" that I didn't want. Good thing I reviewed it. 3) When I mentioned checking for a PCO, totally blew me off, then much later said I had one that was "about $1000". Needless to say, I then approached Long Lewis Ford in Hoover, AL (about 15 miles away). Process was seamless, sales guy was also kinda a "car guy", which is really rare, at least in my experiences. Most importantly, they worked really hard to earn my business. Offered $1000 off MSRP, matched a $500 rebate, let me know about my $2000 PCO when it came in. (I knew about it already, but it was nice of him to let me know anyway) They also got all the options (and color) correct the first time. When my truck was shipped, I went in and they pulled up the entire VVR so I could see the rail car number to keep up with tracking. Ordered May 17, drove it home from the dealer Sept. 14. Nothing negative to say about my (2nd) Dealer experience from start to finish. I can only speculate as to the first sales guy's issues, other than what was stated above. I ordered a F-350 XLT regular cab 2wd 7.3, MSRP was $45,650. One guess was that the profit margin on a non diesel, non-Super or CrewCab wasn't enough for him to bother with. Either way, it was worth the wait.
  4. Where did you order yours? I ordered mine May 17 from Long Lewis, scheduled/got WS, VIN Aug 12, built 9/1, shipped 9/4, picked up at dealer 9/14. Hope some of that helps.
  5. Those numbers are crazy. Our vehicle sales tax in Jefferson Co., AL is 3.75%. My dealer's Destination and Delivery charge is 1695.00, plus tag/title, and that's it. Hopefully you'll be able to get that straightened out.
  6. I know... My bad for delaying, should've posted something by now, haha. I'm going to post some "before" pics and "after" pics, once my little mod is done this Saturday. It's a regular cab F350 XLT Rapid Red, on Saturday it'll have white vinyl to make it two-tone highboy style.
  7. My truck was built on Sept 1, shipped on Sept. 4, delivery at dealer was originally "listed" to be Sept. 25. Train arrived in Birmingham Sept. 7. Truck sat at rail yard 1 week until trucking was scheduled, brought 30 min to dealer on Sept 14, I drove it home that evening. So, all in all, it was 11 days early for me.
  8. FWIW, I ordered my F-350 from Long Lewis in Hoover May 17. Built on 9/1, shipped on 9/4, arrived in Birmingham rail yard on 9/7. From there, it sat until 9/14, and delivered to Long Lewis that morning, picked up that afternoon.
  9. Pic courtesy of my sales guy. Arrived this morning.
  10. Went by my dealer yesterday, with my latest spreadsheet update it was shipped on 9/4, and asked for the rail car # from the VVR. Sales guy slid the monitor over to where i could see and we went over everything on it, including the rail #. Yesterday it was sitting in Nashville, he seems to think it may arrive in B'ham by the end of the week. Let's hope so!
  11. Well, first post in a while, been doing a little camping. My F-350 XLT regular cab rapid red, finally went through the final processes: Built 8/31, Released 9/2, Shipped on 9/4. Scheduled to be delivered between 9/19 and 9/25. If I'm lucky, it'll be here in Bama before the 19th. Pics will be forthcoming, especially once the Highboy style two-tone white decals are added.
  12. My F-350 XLT was changed from "order processing" to "in production" on Monday, this morning got my window sticker! My sent to plant date was 8/24 (build week of 8/30). Starting to get real..
  13. I just got the exact same email at 8:44 CDT. I also have an F-350 XLT, although mine is a Regular Cab. That is insane, I also had a previous build week of Sept 20. Of course, I'm not going to be able to sleep for the next 2 weeks..
  14. If true, that is insane. Makes me wonder if the '22 model year will be a collector's item years down the road? Once all is said and done, I'd be very interested in how many total 22's were built..
  15. I got my email yesterday from Ford with a VIN and build week. When I clicked the link to the Tracker, it looks just like yours. I don't believe the tracker updates as quickly as it could, but it will eventually. If you have your VIN, I would bet your dealer will get their updated info this morning or Monday and be able to provide you with all the knowledge they have.
