  1. I think that I have discovered a glitch in the matrix. I leased a 2021 Explorer XLT about 6 months ago 4,500 miles. I stopped for gas last week at a Rudy's BBQ and gas. This was my first time at this gas station. When I got back into the vehicle, I was closing the door at the same time that I was pressing the start button. At that moment, the horn honked twice and all the malfunction lights in the cluster flashed twice. The vehicle did not start and the check engine lamp was illuminated. I pressed the start button again and the vehicle started but, the check engine lamp stayed on. Ford Pass sent a warning stating "The powertrain control system detected the warm up time for the engine exhaust catalyst was not what was slower than expected"(exact wording). I drove the vehicle all week and even a 100 mile trip with no performance issues except for the check engine lamp stayed illuminated. I stopped at Rudy's gas station again and ended up at the same pump that I used last week. I filled the tank and when I got back in the vehicle and closed the door, the horn honked twice and both turn signal indicators flashed twice. When I started the vehicle the check engine lamp was extinguished. The vehicle is operating normally and the check engine lamp has remained off. Does anyone have any idea as to what happened or have I truly discovered a glitch in the matrix. I've decided not to buy gas at Rudy's again.
