  1. If anything I think it would be the same or worse as the % requirements are higher for 24. Unless Ford pulls a rabbit out of their hat and finds different material sources and battery supplier that meet the increasing requirement demands. Right now no one knows how close to either edge the Escape battery is.
  2. I’m sure Ford will write a check for the other $3750 because they feel so bad for their customers ?

  4. Something to keep in mind. Ford “ built “ 3900 2023 Escapes in January. All of them waiting for software fix. Then they have to be shipped. So quite a backlog that’ll affect new build’s getting shipped too.
  5. Build and price shows the increase. Base msrp for the 2023 PHEV was $38500. Now it’s $40500.
  6. Been watching and not seeing anything yet. Crickets ?. Ford just jacked the msrp of the Escape PHEV’s $2000. That could be a clue or not. If they don’t meet the requirements or only half I’m sure they’ll get a bunch of orders dumped. And maybe that’s why they’re not scheduling very many of them yet.
  7. We’re from Michigan spending a couple months down here. Started looking around down here when it was becoming more obvious that our 23 order was going to be long or non existent. Easiest car purchase we’ve ever made.
  8. We just bought our 22 Titanium Premium from Mullinax in Vero Beach. It was well under MSRP. Their website lists multiple PHEV’ s under MSRP. Great folks to deal with.
  9. We bailed on our 23 PHEV order last week. Bought a 22 Titanium PHEV off a dealer’s lot. 10. We found and purchased a new 2022 loaded Titanium PHEV on a dealer’s lot for $2.2K under MSRP. So no more waiting for us.
  11. Thanks. Been waiting 4 days for our sales manager to get back to me. Salesman previously said that they don’t have the info so I’m just trying to figure out who’s telling the truth. And get an answer.
  12. Thanks for sharing that. That makes sense. Did your dealer provide that info or Ford Customer Service?
  13. I called Ford Customer Service on Monday to ask about status of our order. They said it’s on material hold. Asked them what material was holding it up. They didn’t have that answer available to them but said that our dealer had access to that information. I fired off an email to the sales manager Monday morning and have not heard anything back. We are due for our 3rd 45 day delay email the end of next week. So we’ll see what email comes first. My money is on the 45 day one.
  14. I think your destination is the key factor in getting scheduled and built.
  15. It can happen and for several different reasons. What options do you have? Those could be impacting being able move it to built status. Or a chip thing and others

  17. Tim at Long McArthur has mentioned several times where they have had stuff not previewing and then getting scheduled out of the blue and not on a Thursday. Usually a weird order situation like a canceled 2022 rolled to 2023 order.
  18. Congratulations! Just curious how many Escapes have been scheduled. Without being specific what number range are your last 6 numbers of your VIN that they gave you today?
  19. It applies to PHEV’s and the removal code should be 21P. That’s what it was when we had the SXM removed from our 23 PHEV base .
  20. Agreed. Tech packages have nothing to do with PHEV model. Sounds like the dealer is under informed ( that’s the nice way of saying it). Tell them to check the order guide updates for the PHEV.
  21. You will likely get scheduled sooner if there is a option to remove some feature prior to Ford mandating it’s removal. Orders that don’t get the removal will hang in limbo until Ford either makes it a forced removal or supply issue is resolved. Both of those scenarios will delay scheduling. If Ford sees that your order is clean ( option removed) then you stand to be scheduled much sooner. As far I know the only removal as of now is the SXM. There maybe something going on with B&O sound also. We did not have B&O on our order so no way to confirm that.

  23. No idea. I looked at last year’s scheduling and they didn’t start scheduling Escapes until the second or third week of January after the holiday break. I’m just guessing they won’t this week because today is still a holiday for Ford. But nothing has been normal for quite a while.
