I watched trucks ordered after mine getting built also. The problem is parts shortages changing day by day. If Ford is expecting a shipment of headlamps on a certain date and the manufacturer ends up delaying the order, well, then trucks using that headlamp don’t get built on time. I’ve chatted with folks working at Ford and they tell me wiper motors to door modules, even coat hooks don’t show up as planned and it delays builds. If Ford could tell you what’s holding you up, another part could be an issue a day later. No way Ford could keep things moving if everyone tried to change orders to schedule quicker, it would be a nightmare for them. Anyone who absolutely needs a truck within a certain time frame would be better off buying off a dealer’s lot until things improve.

My F150 was just built, 10 weeks later than the original scheduled build date. It’s going to be over 6 months since I placed my order to delivery. There are folks out there with orders older than mine still waiting! Not really much you can do, all vehicle manufacturing is in chaos right now.

Congrats, but not unusual. I ordered a 502a on 10/08 and it was just built. So I’m looking at just over 6 months until delivery. Parts constraints change on a daily basis. It will get built, just takes a little time.

The good news just keeps coming! ? It’s going to be a few years until chip production is back to normal, not to mention production in general.

8 days?? I’m not looking to rain on your parade, but be prepared for a bit of a wait. My 22 F150 was ordered (confirmed) 10/8/21, I didn’t receive a VIN until 11/19/21, my build week was pushed out 4 times, and it was finally built this week. Just over 5 months. I’m not saying you’ll have to wait that long, but Ford is struggling with vendors delivering parts on time and they are behind on orders. Some vehicle lines haven’t been scheduled for weeks. The only thing you can do is wait and have patience. Ford will build your vehicle as soon as they can.

Well, speaking from experience, it may happen. My F150 was ordered on 10/8, and my first build week was 1/17, and it was changed 3 times since. My last build week was 2/7, and KCAP shut down that week, so I’m onto another week. lol The way things are now with chips, the workforce, parts shortages, etc. you just have to be patient and wait it out. There’s really nothing you can do. Ford wants to sell you a vehicle, but it’s just kind of chaotic for all manufacturers right now.

So a big thank you to all the folks here that take the time to provide all the info here to help everyone. I’m new to the Ford ordering process coming from GM, and trying to learn all I can, but I’m not quite clear on the priority levels and unscheduled vs scheduled. I’ve searched here and see folks getting bumped to higher priorities to GET scheduled, but I can’t seem to find the answer for scheduled orders. I have a 2022 F-150 ordered since October- I received a VIN in November and a scheduled build week in January. Since then, my build week has been bumped twice, but on the last order update I received, I actually have a build day listed now, but I noticed my priority changed from 10 to 2. Does that mean that a Ford rep bumped it and my date should hold now barring any component issues? It’s a KC build if that matters in any way.

Hello, new member here from Northeast PA. Decided to join the Ford family and ordered a ‘22 F150. I’m looking to learn all I can about Ford as the last few I’ve owned were Chevys. This forum has provided some great info so far, lots of folks here sharing their knowledge!
