  1. Just curious - when did you order? Do you have Adaptive Steering or spray in bed liner? I have a F450 Platinum on order as well.
  2. Ice, I know you’ve answered the question of the retail price protection until you’re blue in the face - but I just want to get your advice on something. I ordered my F450 on November 5th before the $1295 price increase and my order was confirmed that day. The standard price the dealership I ordered from charges for retail orders is Invoice + $450. Today, December 17th, I asked the inventory manager to remove adaptive steering from my build. The new order sheet he sent me to confirm the removal has the new higher base pricing making the net change +$295 after removing the $1,000 feature. I mentioned to him what has been posted here about the price protection for retail orders placed before December 8th, but he genuinely didn’t have a clue about it. He told me they can lock in incentives but that pricing isn’t locked in until after the vehicle is built/invoiced, so he didn’t think the invoiced amount was price protected. He said we would find out after the build occurred. And mind you this is the inventory manager of a very large dealership out here. I saw you mention that Ford would provide Automatic Price Protection for retail orders placed before December 8th, but then you also said in another post “The Dealer files a price protection claim with Ford which is an internal accounting procedure and separate from your purchase agreement with the Dealer.” Now on to my question… Will the pre-December 8th pricing automatically show up when the dealer is actually invoiced for my build (even though I made a change today by removing Adaptive Steering today)? Or will they need to file a price protection claim? I hope it’s not the latter because I honestly don’t think he knows how to do that.
  3. I feel ya buddy. I wake up hopeful every Thursday morning that I will have that magical email from Ford Motor Company saying I’ve been scheduled only to have that hope crushed when I open my inbox. ?
  4. I ordered my F450 Platinum in the same color as you also. Everytime I see someone get theirs in blue or red I think "I like the way that looks". If they could just schedule me I would quit thinking about it too lol.
  5. Hi cyberdman, Thank you in advance for your time and generosity in providing this information to us. Dealer Code: F72403 Order Code: J31L 2022 F450 Platinum, Carbonized Gray. Thank you!!!
  6. I was honestly going to order it but thought I would lose a bunch of the center console storage by having it. Only after I ordered my truck did I find out it doesn’t take away from the volume of storage in the console. That’s when I saw the YouTube videos and of how easy it is to install. I’m probably going to order one once my truck gets here.
  7. It’s crazy that even after dropping AS it took that long to get you scheduled. Your build is almost identical to mine, but I have AS. I guess I’m in for a long wait.
  8. There’s a dealer selling the OEM safes on eBay for $280. I looked at the instructions and it’s extremely easy to install (maybe 10-15 minutes). I didn’t order mine with one, but I’m strongly considering adding it later. I highly doubt it would cause you any delays.
  9. Do you know how many of the 250k+ orders are retail orders? I imagine every dealer has a bunch of stock orders in the order bank.
  10. Very weird indeed. If they are truly 40a switches I would certainly feel better having the charger behind a switch even if it is automatic.
  11. I saw somewhere that you’re locked in on your pricing unless you make a major change like go from a 250 to 350, etc.
  12. Thats good to know about the Victron as I have yet to purchase one. I have all Victron components, but I had seen some YouTube videos where people with all Victron setups were still using the Renogy DC to DC charger, I just can’t remember why. According to Ford, four of the upfitter switches are 25a each, and two are 40a each. Unless the F550 uses different switches than the Super Duty. https://www.ford.com/trucks/super-duty/models/f250-lariat/image/upfitter-switches/#upfitter-switches
  13. Make sure you wire in a cut off so it doesn’t drain your battery when you’re parked somewhere with the engine off. I think I’m going to go with a 20 amp Renogy charger and wire it to one of the upfitter switches that only has power when the engine is on.
  14. Invoice tends to be about 5% less than MSRP, so it probably stands to reason that the Invoice increase is approximately 95% of $1295.
  15. With the holidays closing in fast I have a feeling we won’t be seeing much scheduling going on over the next few weeks. With last weeks scheduling going out all the way to 1/31 I doubt most of us unscheduled will see our trucks in Q1.
  16. It's weird that we haven't seen a single person get scheduled today. Maybe they took the week off? Bummer ?
  17. Thanks for all the valuable information ice. Hopefully with the changes starting this Thursday those of us with AS, spray in bed liners, F450’s, etc have a better chance of getting scheduled sooner than later now that Ford is restricting these options to retail builds.
  18. Nice! Now if I could I just get one to show up under my name ?
  19. Someone on another forum just checked, and it also shows if you have one under your name/address by clicking the Ford Private Cash Offer link on village ford's website too. It's nice to know there's an easy way to check yourself without having to rely on your dealer.
  20. I also ordered a 450 Platinum, but with the AS. Your post is quite worrisome. I had the inventory manager check mine yesterday and he said it wasn't showing any commodity restrictions. I'm not sure how long those take to show up. My order only went in on 11/5.
  21. I noticed some dealer sites have links on the individual inventory pages to check if you have a Ford Private offer in the system. I believe this checks Ford's database, but I can't be entirely sure because I don't have a PCO in their system. For example, if you go to the Village Ford website and click on a specific truck in their inventory there is a "SEE FORD PRIVATE OFFER" button. Filling this out seems to query the database. Perhaps someone who has a confirmed PCO in their name can try this out and report back here if it comes up when they fill in their information. It would be nice if we had some confirmed way of checking without having to ask your dealer to do it.
