  1. Yes. I thought that might be it, tightened everything down, pulled everything out of the cab and the bed, no change to the noise. It is apparently the suspension. Here is what I got from another owner who is in a service role "I reached out to a dealer contact, he submitted a request to hotline for assistance with this issue. They told him the noise is isolated to the shocks, and that engineering is working on a solution and to monitor OASIS for updates. They advised not to replace parts at this time, since they would be the same as the existing shocks until the new part numbers are released. When a service message is released on OASIS I’ll post it here. The responses from hotline are case by case, as they have internal information not available to dealers for various reasons. Once an official service message is released, there will be a reference number. At this point in the process it’s best for the dealer to open a request with Hotline to document each customer with the issue. The more reports, the faster the service fix should come." However, I don't know where the best place is to make reports. Hoping there will be more here also.
  2. My 2021 Raptor sounds like a golf ball is loose in a pocket between the cab and the bed, and bounces around when going over bumps. Removed everything from the bed, checked everything in the back, rode in the back seat, feels/sounds like from under the vehicle. Occasionally when the truck is tilted as in a banked curve I hear it (like a ball rolled to the side), but mostly over the bumps. I looked underneath, thought maybe because the skid plate over the gas tank wasn't secured in the front, could bounce, but after putting a rubber hose piece between, it made no difference, so that isn't it. I have seen comments in the Raptor forums that it is related to the shocks (different rear end on Gen 3 Raptors). A LOT of people are experiencing this noise, do we have any kind of solution short of simply replacing all suspension parts?

  4. I found that to be a great combination on an Infiniti Q50 we had.... more horsepower, by a lot, and much better gas mileage (by about 50%). Wasn't quite "insane mode" in a Tesla, but acceleration was immediate and FAST!
  5. There is a lot to like about a hybrid combo, so long as done for power primarily, and as a secondary benefit has better gas mileage..
  6. I should have thought to ask this before... but is there a difference between "tuned" and "chipped"? I have seen both used but is it the same thing, just different semantics, or are they two different things, that you might even do both vs one or the other?
  7. I would like to drive it for a while to see how it drives first, and then see if I want to modify some aspect. I am not planning on racing it, but the MPG increase would be nice if that can be part of it. Doesn't sound like Gen3 tuners are available yet anyway, and one apparently said they saw really nice increases over Gen2 even stock. So maybe Ford is getting it figured out to provide it as "near optimal" off the assembly line?
  8. I assume there is a reason it isn't done that way from the factory, and is there a good reason not to do it? I figure each vehicle when built has its own "personality" and tuning would offer a way to bring one up to "optimal" performance? I could also see that it would be difficult and/or expensive for Ford to do it for each vehicle coming off the line.
  9. I am waiting for the delivery of a 2021 Raptor. I had a 2013 F-150 FX-2 that I recently sold to make room for the Raptor. In the various forums, there is discussion of chipping or tuning the vehicle to make it run better, but at the risk of voiding the warranty. I haven't heard about this before. Some questions: 1) What is it? What is the benefit of this process? 2) What is the change that the process makes that Ford objects to? 3) Does this process actually limit the coverage of the warranty or void it altogether, or only on the engine?   10. That explains why the announcers kept saying it, over and over… more marketing! At first I thought what they were calling it was related to the function of driving.them to the rocket!
  11. Makes sense, but the electrics from the hybrid provide a pretty good low end punch. I guess the supercharger does also, vs the delay you typically get with turbos. I just wonder if the hybrid/turbo combo could be more effective mix than supercharged only. Again, thinking about the boost the electrics have, vs traditional hybrid to squeeze out more MPG... although that could be a welcome byproduct. A Raptor R with the power to exceed a TRX, but with gas mileage of 18-20mpg would be pretty awesome.
  12. Upon closer inspection, it looks like they are not Broncos, but from a company called Rivian, all electric. Seems like they should be using the Lightning... maybe not available and they wanted something similar?
  13. What do you think about that same setup, paired to the current Raptor's 3.5L High Output Ecoboost? Is that possibly what would be in the Raptor R? Or is that pretty much a traditional High Output V-8 setup?
  14. It looks like there are many Ford vehicles that support Blue Origin, watching the recovery of the capsule. Looked like a Raptor was first to arrive (Gen3 LFG?), and possibly an Expedition. Also looked like a number of the new Broncos. Curious if there is an "official" relationship? Not surprising they are using a Raptor and Broncos to get across that terrain in Van Horn to get to the passengers.
  15. Sounds pretty good.... not sure about the "plug in" part. Is that optional, and it charges when driving around, also, or is the plug the only way to charge? The stats look pretty good, maybe a bit better than the 3.5L H.O. Ecoboost in the Raptor.
  16. I really like the HUD in our other car, would love to have the option from the factory on the Raptor, rather than having to do a 3rd Party Add On. Current vehicle picks up the current speed limit and shows that along with current speed. Everything else extra is nice, but those two pieces alone would be worth having.
  17. I don't think so.... is it a better combination than the F-150 Hybrid? Or is it like the Explorer ST?
  18. I had an Infiniti Q50 Hybrid that had the normal engine, then added electric motors to the vehicle. It was a little more expensive, but had jaw-dropping acceleration, and got 50% better gas mileage. They stopped making it, but Infiniti and Lexus were the two companies that had Hybrids that were MORE powerful than the top end car. Everyone else paired a weak engine with the electric motors to squeeze as much as possible MPGs out of the vehicle. A vehicle like the Raptor could benefit from this kind of pairing. I have looked at the current F-150 Hybrid, but it doesn't seem to get as much benefit from this pairing, and it does it in a way that seems less effective. Don't think an electric only Raptor would ever makes sense, but the Hybrid option would seem to. Thoughts?
  19. First time buyer of a Ford Raptor, had a 2013 F-150 I sold a couple of months ago, hoping the Raptor would be soon following... but like most it has been delayed. Having fun reading about what others are doing.... apparently it is true, misery loves company!
