  1. Mobil 1 full synthetic every 5,000 mi. I do it myself, gets me under the truck to look around to see if everything looks normal. The last time I thought finally it was going to be a clean oil change. All went well until I was measuring the final 3 quarts. Funnel slipped, oil spilled on the workbench. Small price to pay instead of having some kid that doesn't give a crap working on my truck.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I need to find out what's causing it now rather than something failing while I'm on the road going up north to plow. What's confusing is there is no vibration, pulling, shake, nothing. I guess it needs to go on an alignment machine. I was traveling on the NYS Thruway yesterday, between the new studded snow tires and the howling noise I couldn't hear myself think.
  3. Long story short 2022 F250, driving narrow roads in Connecticut I got forced off the road by an oncoming truck. Front right tire/rim hit an outcrop of rock on shoulder. Huge hit, big gouge on rim with outside edge slightly bent. Pulled over to check damage then checked tire pressure screen, wasn't losing air so I continued on. Immediately after while driving home on the interstate I heard a howling noise that increased with speed. Bought a new/used rim and a new set of studded snow tires (the original Goodyear Kevlar suck plowing snow), the same howling is still there. I asked the service girl at the dealership (cough cough) to have someone check for anything that looks bent or out of the ordinary while installing the rim and tires to no avail. Looking for possible clues as to what might be causing the noise. Bearings, hubs, suspension parts bent, etc. It was a hard hit! Any suggestions are appreciated.
  4. Good luck with the new truck. The front end looks a lot better in person than in photos.
  5. New truck, steak sandwiches on the grill, a cold glass of beer and your boy having a fun time .... doesn't get better than that! Maybe if you posted a picture of your wife/girlfriend I'd change my mind... not really. Good luck with your new truck.
  6. I'm gonna have to agree with Bilstein 5100 upgrade. Although I did a 2 1/2" ready lift in the front and 4" blocks in the back of my 22 Lariat SB, the truck is more planted in turns especially at highway speed on bumpy roads. My '19 (same model) was white knuckle feeling out of control going over the same conditions.
  7. Ford put everyone to sleep with the slow rollout of the new model. Where are all the new SD's hiding? I don't get it.... Probably a weird marketing strategy akin to the Bud Light catastrophe or the natural gas appliance ban. You go Ford, dance for the woke crowd!
  8. $445. a side is ridiculous for the reinforcement deflectors which are probably stamped anodized aluminum. But hey, they come with special brackets! ?
  9. Looks like it has something to do with your SiriusXM since the login notice appeared on the Sirius screen in the background. Just a wild guess though... Good luck
  10. I get throttle lag when pulling out of our driveway trying to accelerate across a dip created by snowmobiles. Entering a 55mph+ road with cars approaching from a blind curve, step on the gas, the truck crosses the dip and nothing for a few seconds. I think because of extra body movement exceeding some suspension parameter, the truck tries to save me from myself. Remedy was to only apply heavy throttle after I get on smooth road. A few seconds of a dead gas pedal is downright dangerous. I bought an electronic device to program throttle response in hopes of overriding the delay but haven't installed yet. I actually forgot it's in my console until reading this thread ?
  11. I think it's not flash the high beam but to select the high beam position and let the sensor decide high or low beams based on oncoming or ambient light. Reflective signage affects my the lights greatly. Off topic but my horn started only beeping from one of the horns when the plow is plugged in (same fisher xv2). Dropped the plow yesterday and horn is back to normal????
  12. Sorry but to each their own, that's one ugly truck. Glad I bought a 22 when I did. I apologize for going off topic.
  13. My 2022 Lariat has an 8'6" XV2 on it that came off my old 2019. Plow kept scraping excessively while driving on the new truck. Added a 2.5 ready lift in front like sd350 but put a 4" block in the back. Carry ~ 600lbs of sand in the back .... Problem solved, it squats a little when carrying the blade but nothing out of the ordinary.
  14. Looks like no 20" wheels without the chrome package on a Lariat. I may be missing something but that's what comes up when I try to duplicate my '22. The MSRP $6k+ increase means I'm out of the truck market for the foreseeable future.
  15. What an awesome truck! Badass is an understatement. A little disappointed you're getting the grill painted. I guess I'm old school because I like some chrome to offset the black especially that grill. It matches the black and silver wheels also the silver shocks and Platinum lettering on the gate. Either way one of the best looking trucks around. ?
  16. I received my PCO via email yesterday. God only knows how many times after I ordered my 22 that I called, built a new truck, a new expedition etc on the Ford website trying to generate one. I appreciated Ford giving me a $3000 PCO for my last truck. I participated in every customer satisfaction survey, review of the truck, service, you name it I gave great reviews. This time I immediately delete all correspondence as I received nothing from Ford. One hand washes the other, don't bother me. Anyways I showed the GM at my dealership the PCO email, he was unaware they were sending them out as of yesterday afternoon. He offered me $4000 over what I paid plus the additional $2000 for a new truck when the order banks open. No thanks, not going through that again plus the "new" design doesn't do a thing for me.
  17. That sucks, a lot of people not thinking while driving. Hope you find a direct swap.
  18. Found this one in Albany, NY. Maybe they will sell just the bumper. https://albany.craigslist.org/pts/d/gansevoort-ford-new-take-off-truck-box/7500667706.html
  19. Left the truck in the sun for a while then picked at the corner with my fingernail. One side came off in tact, it's on my lawn tractor now. ?
  20. Congrats Gharri the truck looks awesome, money well spent. Like buying a boob job for the old lady. ?
  21. Congratulations! Can't wait to see how you make it yours. Post up those pictures when it's done.
