  1. The other day, whilst ambulating in a pretty strong crosswind in my 2023 Maverick hybrid, my TruxSport cover was annoyingly flapping, to the point of hearing the flapping with the windows closed. I checked in my side view mirror, and the Velcro was still firmly in place, so that wasn't an issue. BTW: the cover was pulled firmly taut before the trip. I have the idea that Gorilla taping the cover to the two cross bars would help a great deal. I contacted Truxedo technical support, and discussed a few things that could possibly cause the issue, but it was determined that it is basically the way they are. I gave my idea about taping, but was told that doing so could void the 5 year warranty. Any thoughts? ?
  2. Yes, we get $7,500 OFF our total taxes due if you bought a hybrid in 2023. After FINALLY getting my rollover credit at the last minute, my trade-in, and the tax credit, it brings my total cost of my 2023 Maverick to about $6,500! ???
  3. WOW!!! Things are happening in rapid fire fashion!!! My head is spinning! I just got another call from yet someone else at Sunrise Ford who said he was working with Ford on me getting my $2750 private offer/rollover credit, and he was successful!!! I feel like I must be dreaming!
  4. Finally a partial success! Dealership manager offered to take an additional $1,000 off that partially compensates for the rollover credit they screwed me out of. ???
  5. Oh, I have extensively. Got quotes from about 8 different places. Over a year ago, the difference was $5K toward Carvana, but nearly 14 mos, later, the difference is a few hundred after considering tax advantage of trading in a dealer. Not worth dilly dicking around with.
  6. Fortunately, my 2023 will be void of the 2022 recalls, and "hopefully" there will be very few for 2023!!! No big deal though. No cost to owners to fix.
  7. They can: (A) Offer considerably MORE for a trade-in. (B) Sell less than MSRP. (C) Lower or eliminate the "Administrative Fee" (aka additional dealer profit) which is $1,000 on top of $400 "filing fee". I am still trying to work my issue down to the wires as my Maverick arrives this week! BTW: I did a trade-in offer calculation ant the dealership's website, and it said mine is worth $3,700 HIGHER than they offered me! WTF???
  8. I was indeed screwed out of it, but it turns out that exact one month after I ordered my Maverick on 11/9/21, my dealership and another Florida one were bought out by some Western Canada company!!! Orders must not have been smoothly handled during transition and is the reason my order was not entered into COVP system in a timely manner is all I can figure.
  9. I was hoping somebody would come out with extra wide stainless steel ones that fit snugly in the window track, but no such luck. When I had them on my F-150, I had my windows open a full 2", and tropical storm came through when I was at work, but truck was bone dry inside after work. So I settled for reasonably priced these: WELLvisors® - Tape-On Premium Series Smoke Front and Rear Side Window Deflectors
  10. I sent details about my plight to Jim Farley 4 days ago, but have not heard back! ?
  11. Including a link for it? Since it appears that I am going to be screwed out of my much deserved '22 to '23 "private offer"/rollover credit, I'll be looking to get my Maverick with NO profit to the dealer. Thanks!
  12. That's what I thought. But unfortunately, no way to rectify situation. The sales guy at the dealership that probably failed to do things correctly is no longer there.
