  1. I was able to get 2.95% for 84 months at my credit union.
  2. It's funny you mentioned this because I just posted about a really great experience I had with a dealership. I hope it helps someone else.
  3. I wanted to take a moment to talk about my experience with Van Bortel Ford in Rochester NY. My salesman was Matt German. I don't normally do these types of things but my experience with them was so good, I feel like I had to share. Here is my story: I was in need of a new tow vehicle. I live in WNY but they had an F150 I was interested in (summer 2021). The dealership is about an hour and a half away. Matt German happened to answer the phone for them and after a few questions, we realized the F150 didn't have the payload I would need. After a short discussion, we talked about perhaps ordering one. The rest of my communication with him was through email, which i preferred. After answering a few questions for me, I came to the realization that an F-250 would suit me better. I had questions...like A LOT of questions. Matt replied back to every email I sent always within a day but usually just a few hours. After lots of emails, I finally ordered a 2022 F250 7.3L XLT Crew Cab in mid November. They were selling me the truck AT INVOICE. I also had just received a $2000 PCO if I ordered by Jan 3. He told me it would likely be 3-4 months in the beginning (like in September) but by the time I finally ordered it, he realized the market had changed and said it would likely be 4-6 months. Time went by and I realized I wanted to make some changes. So I was able to change to the Lariat trim package. Then we realized that my Black Appearance Package was possibly holding up the scheduling of my order. So I was able to change to a Sport Package and upgrade the tires a bit. He made the changes without hesitation and always gave me a new copy of the sales contract. Every week, without ever asking, he'd send me an email updating me on the status of my vehicle. Most would simply say "no updates this week", but at least I knew he was looking and checking for me. Based on information on forums like this, I knew price protection was an issue. He assured me from the beginning that they would honor the pricing on my truck at the price level I had upon ordering in November (which was price level 240). Even after all the changes, most of which occurred after Ford went to price level 245 and then 250, I still paid price level 240 prices. So remarkably, my truck was scheduled for a March 28th build, but was built the week of March 21st and arrived at the dealership in early April. When I ordered my truck in November, they gave me an offer of $18,500-$19,000 for my 2016 F-150. Upon showing up at the dealership to look at my new truck and to have them assess my old truck, they gave me the full $19,000 on my trade. I was able to secure really good financing through my credit union, so they simply offered to beat it, but realized they could not, so no pressure from them to take their financing. I spoke with one of their other finance guys about an extended warranty. They made a quick sales pitch, gave me some paper work to look at and basically said if you have any questions, let us know. Again...no pressure. The cherry on top of the sundae is that the day before I picked my truck up, Matt called me to say that he happened to check with Ford one final time and realized that they had just offered me a new $2500 PCO. So he was able to remove the $2000 offer and added on the $2500 PCO. I picked up the truck yesterday and absolutely love it. I have never ordered a new vehicle before. Its always been whatever they had on the lot type of experience for me. But in today's market, to find a dealer selling at invoice AND to be as accommodating as Van Bortel was, made this a very pleasant experience. I have read about a lot of horror stories from many people on this forum and on FTE (Ford Trucks Entusiasts) and I felt very lucky to have chosen this dealership. Matt was amazing and ALWAYS answered my emails quickly. And I sent A LOT of emails!!!!! If you are in need of a new FORD vehicle, I would HIGHLY recommend Matt German from Van Bortel Ford in Rochester, NY. I will include his contact information below. Sorry for the long rant, but I felt it was important to share this information for anyone looking for a new vehicle in that area. My dealer's information: Matt German (mgerman@vanbortelford.com) Van Bortel Ford 71 Marsh Rd East Rochester, NY 14445 (585) 222-3673
  4. My dealership took it off ahead of time.
  5. So I am a loyal F150 owner who has moved up to a 2022 F250 Super Duty 7.3L gas Lariat Super Crew. I'm picking it up this afternoon. It's been a great experience with my dealership (Van Bortel Ford in Rochester). Any advice on how to drive this bad boy the first few weeks? I have an 8,000 pound travel trailer that we will be taking out this summer, but wanted to be sure I treated this engine right from the get go. How fast can I get the engine moving at the start? It's about an 80 mile ride home and I could take the Interstate or the backroads. When I first sat in it last week it had like 2.3 miles on it. Should I baby it at first or let her rip on the highway?? Does anyone do anything special for a brand new vehicle?? (less than 10 miles)
  6. How about this?? I received a $2000 PCO back in November a few weeks before I ordered my Super Duty. Truck came in last week and I'm picking up today. My dealer called me yesterday to tell me a $2500 PCO just showed up in my FORD account and they are applying that one instead of the $2000. I have had a really great experience with my dealer. I will be doing a full write up on him after I pick up the truck this afternoon.
  7. My truck was mark shipped on 3/27 and it was supposed to arrive at the dealer in Rochester, NY between 4/8 and 4/13. Based on everyone else's experiences, I figured it would be lucky to get there by the end of April. Well, I got an email from my dealer on 4/1 that my truck arrived early? I have no idea how that happened so quickly. And its not an April Fools joke because he sent me pictures of it. So again, for those of you thinking only bad experiences are happening for everyone, you just never know. Keep the faith.
  8. My truck has been built and was shipped over the weekend (ordered 11/15). I've decided I'm not going to bother trying to track it. To me the hard part was getting the damn thing built. First camping trip is in late June. Should be good to go. No sense in stressing out and following its every move, or lack thereof. Best of luck out there to everyone still waiting.
  9. So as of Monday, my dealer indicated in his weekly update that my build date got moved back by three days to April 1st. I figured that was not a big deal. However, last night I got an email from Ford that my build date got moved UP to week of March 21st and for the first time, I was able to access my window sticker. Just wanted to offer a ray of hope to some people who are still waiting that maybe some things are clearing up? My build is a 7.3 Lariat Super Crew with none of the commodities. I removed BAP and tonneau cover back in early Feb and was scheduled the following week.
  10. I receive weekly updates from my salesman. It has been great working with him. Every Monday he sends me an update. For the first three months (ordered in mid-November) its was "nothing to report this week". It wasn't what I wanted to hear, but I appreciated the honesty and transparency. On Feb 10th I was scheduled for a build week of March 28th. Not surprisingly, it was about 10 days after I dropped the BAP and tonneau cover. Anyways, on March 7th he emailed me that I had a build "date" of March 28th and then this past Monday (the 14th) I had my build date adjusted to April 1st. Order is for a Lariat Super Crew with 7.3 gasser. I've been very happy with my dealer. I have asked a lot of questions during the build and ordering process and the waiting process. He always answers quickly and is always up front and honest. As much as a lot of people have had issues, I'm guessing some of those problems fall on the shoulders of some incompetent dealers. In fairness, I haven't signed for my vehicle yet, but hoping the few weeks left until build and delivery go smoothly. Was able to order vehicle at invoice, use my PCO and the locked in a fair trade in price for my vehicle at the time of the order.
