  1. Unfortunately things might be slowing down further... https://fordauthority.com/2022/06/ford-production-to-be-scaled-back-at-four-u-s-assembly-plants/ According to that memo, Ford production will be affected at the Chicago Assembly plant, Kansas City Assembly plant, Kentucky Truck plant, and Louisville Assembly plant. The problem stems from cuts made at the Chicago Stamping plant, as outlined in the memo. “Chicago stamping will be implementing a week-to-week temporary starting Monday, June 20th,” the memo says. “The temporary layoff will continue Sunday, September 11th with the plan to return to full-scale production on Monday, September 12th.” Employees at the stamping plant were offered the opportunity to volunteer for temporary layoffs as well.
  2. I finally cancelled my F-350 order as I found a F-250 with 95% of what I wanted at another local dealer. Since life has no guarantees, I figured that having what I need is more important than having everything that I want. On the bright side, that is one less that they need to build and hopefully everybody waiting gets theirs ever so slightly quicker.
  3. I spoke to my Daughter in laws dad who works in the Kentucky truck plant and he said they are still running 6 days a week but there were some slowdowns in the Ohio plant. Don't quote me but I thought he said there was 180,000 still to be built.
  4. 44 days for me and I feel your pain as stupid as it sounds. The long timers are eligible for sainthood with their patience....LOL
  5. At that point a constitutional convention would not be out of the question. Of all of this, Hillary is my line in the sand.
  6. Thanks for keeping everyone informed. We appreciate you going the extra mile.
  7. Well if I have to start over, what is the difference if I go to another manufacturer as you said yourself. Growing up in Dearborn, MI and supporting their network when I worked for HP, this household currently has 4 ford vehicles in the driveway. For them it may not matter, but if Job #1 means anything then they should consider the impact to the customer is all I am saying.
  8. If that happens, even though my family works for Ford and I own a Ford, starting over without any incentive might make me go to a different manufacturer.
  9. I hope they stay that way while I am waiting for my new truck. I will be swapping out my 2019 F-150
  10. I talked to my future daughter in laws dad over the weekend and he works on the line at that plant and they said they are running, but he heard rumors of shutdowns a few weeks in April.
  11. How about storage in the box bed fenders instead, like some other manufacturers, freeing up the floor space in the back cab.
  12. Nice, I may need to build something like that. When I saw the edge of the driveway I thought the garage wasn't very big overall. It just shows that looks can be decieving.
  13. Hi, I just ordered my F350 XLT at the beginning of March and realize it will be a long wait, but my question is there any visibility into the Ford Commodities list that might hold up the order? My goal is to eliminate those from the order if it isn't really necessary without ordering a bare bones truck. I have heard adaptive cruise, spray in bed liners are items that can hold it up. Attached is the ordering guide and I appreciate any guidance. 2022 Super Duty Pick Up - Ordering guide.pdf
