  1. I've heard of a really good lawyer named Saul Goodman....
  2. If you go to Ford's website and "build" a Superduty, an XLT regular cab long bed (because of the recent price increase) shows to start at a base MSRP of $42,920. I'd be willing to bet you didn't order a regular cab long bed.
  3. I really don't know what to do about this, I'm leaning toward buying the Silverado but I really want the F250. Especially when I see posts like Jp_norris who put his order in 5 months before I did.
  4. Did you contact the Ford rep or did the dealer? I went in yesterday and modified my order, removing the AS and the retractable tonneau cover, after reading both of those were delaying builds. Now that the prices have gone up, removing $2,800 in options lowered the MSRP by $1,000. I'm still sitting at a 19 at this point. I was going to pull the trigger on a similarly equipped Silverado at a local dealership (I really need a truck for towing!), then today I got a $2,500 PCO in the mail, combined with Ford offering a $500 first responder discount. The caveat is that I have to use the PCO by July 5th. I'm right on the edge, I want the truck I ordered but unless I can get bumped up from a 19 I'm not going to see it this year. So, it's either try to pull some strings to get a bump in priority or buy the Silverado if it's still available. I really want the F250, because GM says HD truck buyers don't want Adaptive Cruise so it's not an available option. If I can contact a rep to try and get a bump I will, but if I leave it up to the dealer they probably won't. I haven't told them about the PCO yet.
  5. According to Ice-Capades on the last page, if you don't get scheduled for a 22 build there will be no carryovers to 23, and no priority (or price protection) given to those who waited and never got their truck. So you won't have to cancel, they'll cancel it for you as soon as they transition to the 23 MY. I don't think I'm going to get mine, I ordered a Platinum 7.3 with virtually every option available, even though the dealer keeps telling me they're not showing any commodity restrictions I haven't heard a word about my truck. All customer service will say is "the order has been received" and the dealer can't tell me any more than that. I haven't even received the order confirmation email from Ford. You'd think for $81,000 they'd at least keep you in the loop. My dealer said orders take "10 to 12 weeks", he's got a great sense of humor!
  6. My local Chevrolet dealer told me realistic wait times are closer to a year. On police Tahoe orders the biggest dealer in Texas (normally has at least 150 in stock) doesn't have one on the lot and they're quoting an 18 month wait. One agency ordered several last July and are hoping to get them maybe January 2023. Fleet orders are a LOW priority for auto manufacturers, since they don't make as much money. Dodge has already discontinued the police Durango. The Ford dealer we get our Explorers from & I ordered my SuperDuty from no longer even has a fleet sales department, they can't get fleet orders built. Even worse, we can't get fleet parts, almost half of our fleet is down, unable to get parts. But that's OK, because of gas prices our fuel budget is almost gone for the fiscal year so we were told to park (no idling for climate control) and wait for calls. All vehicles are now two deputies due to vehicle shortage. If we lose too many more we won't be able to cover calls, this at a time when we're having a major rash of gang violence and murders.
  7. I have gone on Ford's website and tried to build out what I ordered, at least half of the options I ordered are not even there to select. No explanation, nothing greyed out, the options just aren't there. Things like the sunroof, winch, cab lights, none of it is even listed as an option to add.
  8. Holy cow, I thought my sticker was high, yours makes me feel a LOT better!
  9. After getting the order number and sales code from the dealer (that took all week) all Ford was able to tell me was that "the order is processing". That's all, they can't confirm they have the right email address, what the order date was,, if there are any options constraints, nothing. They told me to check with the dealer, I told her the dealer was the problem. "Is there anything else I can help you with?". "Yes, any of the questions I asked".
  10. I see a ton of customer service numbers, for service problems, Sync, etc., but I'm not sure which one to call about this. Anyone have a number so I don't get caught in the "transferring your call" or "try this number" endless loop? The dealer told me I'd get an email probably the day I ordered, then they changed that to I won't get one until it's scheduled to build. I should have gone with a different dealer, but I usually try to stay local since in case of problems that's where Ford will send it.
  11. Is there any way for me to contact Ford and see if my truck was actually ordered? I'm beginning to wonder if the dealer submitted the order. Zero emails from Ford, dealer is next to useless.
  12. Honestly I think they copied my drivers license, but I do not remember signing an order sheet. They also refused to accept a deposit. If the adaptive steering is a commodity restraint that's going to be one of my issues, if the order was actually placed. Two weeks ago when I checked last, the dealer told me there were no options on my truck that were showing as being a supply line issue. Can someone give me the phone number for customer service to confirm the order was placed? I have a number for them, but probably a different area as this was over a service issue. They may not want to talk to me anymore at that number.... They probably have me flagged. I raised a bit of a stink after my 1,300 mile truck was down for four months waiting for a new engine. Ford was so uncooperative on that one I actually had to go buy another vehicle so I'd have something to drive while they tried to get a new engine.
  13. I had a 2019 Ram Powerwagon, which I really didn't like and was offered stupid money for so I sold it. In about the second week of January I ordered an F250 Platinum, with pretty much every option available except the 7.3 gas engine instead of the Powerstroke. No more diesels for me, not with the current emission controls (primarily the DPF). My dealer has made all kinds of promises and excuses, but I haven't received anything from Ford via email confirming the order, which the dealer told me to expect. They then changed that to I'll only receive emails once the truck is scheduled for build. Looking at some of the order dates here compared to delivery dates I don't know if I'll see the truck I ordered before the change over to 2023 MY trucks. Should I have received a confirmation email from Ford when the order was placed? The dealer seems to be trying to keep me out of the loop, I think they're hoping I'll buy elsewhere and they can have this truck for inventory since they claim they're getting 10K over sticker on a truck like this that's in stock, ready to deliver. Thanks
