  1. The Super Duty Gods have smiled upon me. Built 8/30 and at the dealer 9/1. I’m over 300 miles from the plant, so I figured it would be getting a train ride, but it came all the way with Jack Cooper. Maybe I got a tag along with somebody’s dually. Don’t lose hope!
  2. This morning the tracker showed my build "in production". This afternoon, my modules page has populated. 2189/2522 in batch 7762. Now the long wait on the built and shipped statuses.
  3. I got my build week estimate of 8/22/22 through Ford Customer Service. On 8/18, I called again and was told it was in "Production". I checked the Ford Order Tracking site and it was updated, but no window sticker. This morning, still no window sticker. But when I used the Ordertrack App, I was able to print the window sticker. So as of right now, it looks like I'm one of the fortunate ones as far as the timeline the dealer gave me of 6-8 months (at least for build, who knows how long to ship) when I ordered 3/7/22. My build is a Rapid Red F350 Lariat Ultimate CCLB 6.7 3.55 locking differential chrome package, quad beam headlights, 5wp, moonroof and a few other things. I've gotten all my info through Ford Customer Service. I haven't even heard from the dealer. Evidently they prefer not to participate in the COVP. So don't lose hope (I know that rings hollow with those of you that have been waiting so much longer). Hopefully pics will be coming soon.
  4. If your dealer didn’t enter your information into the COVP (customer order verification program), you won’t hear anything. If you have your order, Ford Customer Service can get you some information.
  5. I totally sympathize with you. I was told 6-8 months, so barring multiple pushbacks they are on schedule, at least as build is concerned. I’m not complaining any as I know there are a lot of people like you that have been waiting much longer than me. That being said, I’ve seen 3/31/22 orders already delivered. I hope you get some good news soon.
  6. My build is scheduled for the week of 8/22 clean and I have the LED headlights.
  7. Maybe all of the above. From talking with a couple other people that ordered cars there, I’m pretty sure that’s just how they operate. If I was a dealer, I’d rather my customer be able to track this information themself rather than having to call the dealership and tying up the staff. I wish Ford would let the consumer get their information input to the COVP, but at least so far Ford customer service has come through for me. Sometimes I’m too patient for my own good.
  8. I got a build week and VIN last Friday. My salesman called today and said he hasn’t heard anything. ?‍♂️
  9. I just got a schedule week of 8/22 yesterday. I got it through Ford Customer Service yesterday morning (talked to my salesman yesterday afternoon and he said still unscheduled clean. Not sure why he didn’t have an update.) F350 Lariat Ultimate, SWR, chrome package, CCLB, 6.7, 5WP, moonroof, led headlights, 3.55 locking differential, 20” wheels, and some other goodies. Don’t lose hope, but I can understand for the folks that have been waiting 8 months plus. Hopefully I don’t get a pushback, but if I do it won’t be a total surprise. On another note, are the trucks traceable via Ford Pass once it’s “shipped”? PS: the rep also said I have a private offer that expires in early October, but I forgot ask for how much.
  10. Probably out of Ford’s hands once it gets off the line and into the RR’s. It surely is asinine that so many trucks have been sitting in the yard for so long. It’s not like they can just get another outfit to haul them out. It also sounds like the trucking companies aren’t exactly burning up the highway when they get the truck at the other end, either.
  11. It’s around 300 miles from KTP to the closest point in Michigan
  12. This is when they do major maintenance and upgrades to the plant that can’t be done while it’s running. It’s got nothing to do with it being a union represented facility. These outages are planned way ahead of time and contractors have to be lined up.
  13. The only thing with that is those images could be pretty old. It would be great if it was constantly updated.
  14. Here’s a link to an article that also explains this relationship. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.carprousa.com/blog/understanding-car-dealers-vs.-automakers%3Fhs_amp%3Dtrue
  15. Somewhere in this thread are some of the criteria that goes into production scheduling. I know it doesn’t ease the pain any.
  16. From FMC’s CEO concerning chips: “The other thing we must do is secure contracts with our supplier or suppliers, where possible, in commodities we know will be constrained like semiconductors,” Farley said. “In the case of semiconductors, that will require both mature node semiconductors or feature-rich semiconductors like window regulators, as well as the advanced nodes that run our connectivity electronic components, as well as infotainment. These will be very important, and you’ve seen announcements like GlobalFoundries, there’ll be more of those, and we’ll have to do it on the raw material and the battery side as well.” The Ford CEO is referring to a strategic alliance the automaker formed with GlobalFoundries Inc. – a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing – last November, which aims to boost chip supplies by advancing semiconductor technology development and manufacturing in the U.S. In addition, Ford of Europe recently joined two new supply chain initiatives while the automaker is also considering getting into vertical integration in regards to the raw materials used in the construction of EV batteries.
  17. This is from a Facebook page dealing with this topic. Supposedly somebody from Ford contacted this guy to ask if he was still interested in his truck. If not, they would (FMC) cancel the order and bump up another order and not let the dealer take delivery of the truck. Has anybody else seen this. I'm more than a little bit skeptical that it was from FMC. Here's the FB post: "Well My production date got pushed . But this morning I get a call from Ford asking if I still want my order . I said yes 110% . The lady goes we’re calling to weed out anyone that doesn’t want there order. So hopefully you get your truck sooner . Crossing my fingers."
  18. Well, for the money you’re planning on spending I don’t blame you for not wanting the truck if it doesn’t have everything you ordered. That being said, the dealer will probably still get possession of the truck and it will be sold within days. I don’t see the supply chain issues being solved in the near future as far a commodity restraints go. As far as the scheduling procedure, on the surface I don’t understand it outside of the fast that they will schedule in a manner that keeps their costs the lowest. I really feel for the folks that are at or near a year since ordering. I just ordered in March, so I’m not far enough along in the process to get upset. It’s all out of my control barring declining delivery when it does arrive. It doesn’t appear I can get some options I like on a GMC, so it’s a wash. And I doubt the day will come when I buy a Ram.
  19. Chances are your dealer didn’t submit your information to FMC with your order. Mine didn’t either, but there are times when that seems to be a blessing when I see people receiving multiple delay emails. I did call Ford Marketing and they confirmed my order. The number is somewhere in this thread. Start looking around page 330 and keep going.
  20. Scam! This is from a Facebook page covering this SD production.
  21. This was on page 374: I thought this was interesting, I was just messing around on Fords build site, and they now allow you to select a bunch of options, unlike before for the last month or so. But I was putting my platinum build together and noticed the "multi-contour delete" option. Is this a potential item that could be holding up the build times for platinums/KR/Limiteds? If so, I will gladly remove that to get mine built quicker. I assume this is just the massaging part that is deleted? Not the actual seat cushions and leather used in those trims? Maybe someone will chime in and give me some more detail before I call my dealer and ask for the delete option
  22. I did see another post that this was flagged on the Super Duty Build Your Own site. It was back a couple of pages.
