  1. Any idea what this is all about? Looking at ordering a new F350 Dually and this is a default option you cannot unselect. Cannot find any good explanations on this.
  2. I am in shock at how fast my order got scheduled. I ordered a F350 DRW Lariat pretty much fully loaded. Options not selected were: - On board scales - Spray in bed liner - Power onboard I really didn’t think there was much chance of this truck getting built this year. So now we wait to see how long it takes to get to the dealership. keep the faith! If anyone is looking for a 2022 F350 SRW Platinum I will have one coming available as soon as this truck arrives. Ordered the 2022 and the payload was lower than I expected so I opted to order a DRW.
  3. Total Payload capacity is 2543 lbs Now subtract from that: 1) Passenger weights. 2) Your 5th wheel hitch weight that’s in the truck. 3) Any other cargo that’s in the truck. That’s all considered payload. What you have left over is your max pin weight your truck can tow without exceeding any limits. Adding air bags or any other after market item to the rear suspension will not change your legal payload capacity. What’s on the door is on the door and nothing can change that.
  4. Not to be the tow police but you’re already over weight before you even hook up that RV by 166 lbs. Payload is the most limiting factor when towing. You will hit that limit well before you hit any of the others. If that pin weight is a “dry” pin weight then it’s only going to get worse weight wise. 5th wheels have a majority of there weight in front of the axles. That’s where all your storage is located. Most full time, four season campers have a dry pin weight of 18%- 21%. Now start adding full 30 gallon propane tanks and loading up your storage and camper and now your pin weight goes up. You might be able to offset it if your fresh water tank is behind the axles by adding water to it. But now your rolling the dice. Will the truck tow it? Sure. But is it safe and legal? If considering a new truck skip the SRW models and get a F350 dually and never look back. Here is a couple of links to tow calculators that are easy to use and probably answer many questions you have. http://www.towingplanner.com/Estimators/TonguePinWeightFromDry/?dt=2435&dw=12168&lw=13668 https://rvingzone.com/towing-calculator/
  5. Took delivery of a 2022 Platinum F350 SRW with a 6.7 Diesel and 11,500 GVWR. Ford Client Proposal Sheet showed a payload of 3930 LBS based on the options on the truck. The truck as delivered has a ACTUAL payload rating of 3394 lbs. (536 lbs difference) Took the truck to the scales and the curb weight was 8200 lbs, not the 7676 lbs that was in the Ford Client Proposal Sheet. So it seems that the Ford Client Proposal Sheets are not accurate! I triple checked mine and everything in the proposal sheet matched the window sticker as far as options went. It’s the Curb weight that is off.

  8. I guess I got lucky on my build. F350 platinum SRW. Expected delivery date to dealer is August 10th. Why some ship right away and others don’t is a bit of a mystery. Now the question is will I be price protected? Base price increased 4K. Meeting with the dealer tomorrow to go over this topic. Will report back on what I find out.
  9. 2022 F350 Platinum SRW. Ordered on 11/30/2021 Went into production on 6/24/2022 Still in production as of 7/20/2022
  10. Brand new here. If this topic has already been discussed could you please point me to it. I ordered a 2022 F 350 in Dec 2021. Dealer sends me this report. I can understand some of it but not sure what it all means. Not getting much help from the dealer on decoding this. My order is second from the bottom on this sheet. Thanks
