  1. A number of months ago, I posted my story. A quick recap: we ordered our F250, Lariat ultimate, BAP, Tremor, with the 7.3 L engine, in June, 2021. The truck was delivered to our dealership in April of 2022, but they sold it out from under us. By the time we realized what had happened, the order banks were closed. The dealer tried to find us a similarly equipped vehicle at another dealer, with no luck. Almost 2 months later, they called me. A customer with a super duty on order had contacted them and wanted to cancel because of an illness. Ford allowed them to keep the order spot, but change the feature set to the features we'd originally ordered. Well, it arrived at the end of October! They had to do a few things at the dealership, and interestingly, it has black plastic covers where the badges will be (in front of the doors)--but we LOVE the truck. Pricing was a bit of an issue. The truck MSRP was about $8,000 more than our original order. The dealership agreed to match my initial price and give me an extended warranty. This took a bit of work, though. They were reluctant to lose so much money; after reminding them about how much I imagine they made off of my original truck, they softened up... In any case, we LOVE the truck. It's a dream. Our first Super Duty--first truck, in fact. So glad we stuck it out.
  2. There are plenty of people here who’ve had disappointing experiences with Ford, with their dealer, or both. But the primary purpose of this thread is to share (or seek) information that might help others gain clarity about what is obviously a difficult and exasperating process (for reasons that have been oft documented here). I won’t speak for ice-capades, but I noticed they did try to provide some perspective. But venting (without any apparent desire for outside perspective that might challenge your pre-existing perspective) about your distinct issues isn’t really all that helpful to others, and it’s not all that interesting—given that many here have their own frustrations and disappointments. I won’t invite you to leave or go buy a Chevy, but I am curious: what, exactly, are you looking for from this group?
  3. Sorry this happened to you. Glad that it worked out, though. What do you mean "dinged by Ford"?
  4. I can't imagine why they'd tell me it was sold if it, in fact, wasn't. I'm in Texas (Georgetown--outside of Austin). My window sticker was green (see image in post below).
  5. Yes. The sales manager told me that they received a notification from the general manager that, though the truck had a green window sticker, it was released for sale. He said this happens--usually when someone decides they don't want the vehicle. But not the case here. He called the general manager, who was vacationing and not in front of his computer, so couldn't recall why he released it.
  6. I've been a follower of this thread passively for quite a while--thank you all for posting information. It's been very useful. I placed on order of a 2022 Super Duty--Lariat, Tremor, black appearance, various other features--on June 10, 2021. We've waited, obviously, quite a long time. On 4/20/2022 we received the "Shipped" notification from Ford, indicating that the truck should arrive at our dealer between 5/2-5/8. On 5/5, the salesperson called me and said that the truck should arrive soon--likely within the "next few weeks" and he'd keep us informed. I went in today because there was still no news. Turns out the truck arrived on 4/27, and they sold it to someone else on the same day! Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm really stunned--and to be fair, the folks at the dealership are stumped; nobody knows how this happened.
