  1. The dealer system as it stands is broken and outdated if the future is mostly orders vs lot shopping... Unfortunately, within the current system, you don't know you have a bad dealer until it's far too late. Been there. Some dealers are better than others and the consumer is left hanging in those cases with no help, back up or even options from the manufacturer. Just order another is the rule today.
  2. With the delays for over two years now and no more certainty looking ahead, I can't imagine not taking a truck you ordered if it has the options you want and it's on the lot ready to go...even on the last day of the year. You might pass up a late 23 and end up never getting your 24 scheduled. I've been waiting for 600-plus days and will likely get my platinum (finally scheduled for later this month) towards the end of the model year and you will have to fight me to not take it.
  3. Also got scheduled this week. The sun, moon and a galaxy far far away all aligned. Ordered F250 platinum 12/1/21 (yes, 2021). Rolled to a 23 in Nov 22. Scheduled for Aug 21st. Will believe when I see it, but progress over perfection I suppose. Excited to finally se the next step. The tracking website hasn't updated for me yet and I've confirmed with another wanna be owner that they didn't see an update on their tracking page yet either.
  4. My dealer puts all orders in as a 19 and "manages" orders. At last check, they had three roll over Platinums. At some point, I would think order date would trump it all. It just doesn't make sense to me that someone ordering a same level trim truck in October of 22 should be ahead of folks that ordered in Oct, Nov or Dec of 21 and there and plenty of us in that same boat. And as the other poster said, feels like they are letting us down. Dealers and Ford together should have a better way not one side vs the other leaving some of us to wait. Simply stated, I don't think anyone would disagree that a carry over order shouldn't be built ahead of new orders for the same optioned truck, regardless of dealer management or mismanagement.
  5. Same feeling for me. My dealer said carryover orders would be built first with higher trims started down the line. Because of that and waiting for the last possible build week of 22 in hopes of getting scheduled, my carryover didn't get placed until the 2nd to last day of the order window. I think I went from last to last again. I tried to ask them to contact the regional scheduler for a 2 priority, but they said thats not required. Sigh. The wait continues and if it's much longer with late July builds already out there and the short year, it looks like another carryover could be on the table. Happy for those getting trucks, but frustrating for sure for some of us. Good luck to all.
  6. Congrats. You might be one of the first 23 Platinums. Are you a 22 carryover order or a brand new for 23?
  7. Wow. Higher trim truck or just a who knows situation, sitting at the track, etc? Hope it arrives soon! At this point, I'm just hoping to get a scheduled email. I'm afraid we will be closing in on 600 too before we see anything.
  8. It's officially day 500 for us today, 151 on the carryover. Just nuts.
  9. Monoman - We are in the exact same boat. I ordered Dec 1, 2021. F250 Platinum. Re-ordered 11/14/22 with just over an $8k USD increase (and 5k rebate) as my dealer waited until they were for sure not going to see it built which was then close to the last order day of 23s. So I think I went from one of the oldest orders to actually an order now towards the end of the line...which is crazy. If the rumors are true about current supply issues, we will likely never see the 23 either on these higher-end trims. I suspect after that, we will be entirely on our own with regular pricing and no rebates if we are forced to order a 24.
  10. I wish I had better options. I do have a higher-level trim, Platinum. And according to some, I should already have the lowest priority codes you can have...but at this point, I don't. Something tells me they were ordering over allocations last year and I never had a chance. I'm holding out hope that I will be part of the first couple of weeks of Job 2 orders and if not, I'll be on the phone again everytime I see a batch get scheduled on Thursdays The MSRP for a 22 increased twice during 2022 after I placed my order. Had it been produced as a 22, they would have honored the price for sure. The 23s, with the same time level and options selected, are just over 8k more than my original order in Dec of 21. Granted, there are new and more base options included in a 23 platinum, onboard generator, new technology, etc. Of course, I didn't ask for those, but now I get them and I get to pay more. Ford issued a rebate to some folks and I got one, but it does mean that I have to pay more than my original deal. With platinum order banks closed for 23 months ago, I really can't change dealers for a 23 and my only option would be to wait for 24s to open this fall and hope I'd see a truck in 2024. I'm sticking around with the current order to see how it plays out. It may require a 24 order just to be safe, which only adds to the order/supply problem.
  11. My biggest hope -- someone finds a way to disrupt the dealer requirement to purchase cars and trucks from major manufacturers and we get more transparency by going direct. The Ford vs the dealers is great for both of them and hurts the buyer. Talk to ford, talk to your dealer. The "it's always worked this way, deal with it" will become a great avenue for change and it's already happening with Tesla and others. We, as consumers who make "bad choices," will eventually have more options that mitigate that risk. We all know the value a dealer provides is not $0 when it comes to a purchase (not talking service), but it's far from what it used to be (understanding options we couldn't previously find our own, test drives of models on the lot to compare, navigating financing, paperwork, warranties). We do so much more work ourselves now, but still have the same constraints and costs or maybe more. It may take many more years, but evolve or die...plenty of great companies thought it couldn't happen to them. I'd still like to get my truck (because for now) it's one of only a couple of options and none of those are much better.
  12. I wish it was that easy in all cases. For certain models or certain trims, the order bank opens and closes (as no one knows better than you, of course). Then, you have no options other than to walk away and wait another year. I've been to the sales manager and the president/owner. I've asked for some things you've mentioned on priority codes, scheduling, options etc...I get the "I've been doing this for 25 years....rest easy, you're in the best hands possible. That said, my order from 12/1/21 was never scheduled, converted to 23, same priority codes as I had 15 months ago. Not going to bat for me either on rebates to better offset the 8k MSRP increase. "Consider yourself lucky you got anything" After talking to the owner, nothing else I can do now but hope. Most recently, I wanted to add a Tremor package...was told we have limited allocations on that package...but, Ive never heard this elsewhere from any other buyer. At this dealer, adding a Tremor package for $4k wipes away their typical off MSRP discount, plus adds 3k mark up on top of that. It becomes a 12k package on my order. They don't have to offer discounts and their choice to decide when and where, I get that. If I could order this truck again from another dealer and pay MSRP, I might even consider it...but with a Platinum, I have no chance of even doing that. So I wait for a truck to show up again and I have to decide if a Tremor package is worth 12k. It's not.
  13. Well, neat. I've asked twice about changing codes already as both orders were 19s, their default for all orders. Time to move up the chain I guess and see what they say. Frustrating that after more than a year.of dealers working through issues, the customer has to be their own advocate through the dealer system. I get it a year ago, but these people should know the situation by now. Appreciate the guidance from both of you!
  14. Thanks to both for your scheduling information. That helps My only hope is that "age of order" also applies to 2022 carryover/cancellations. Ordered in Dec1, 2021. Re-ordered a 2023 in November after not getting scheduled (just before the order banks closed)...so I hope my order is actually 14 months old, not 2 months old to the schedulers.
  15. Akirby, let's say two people order the exact same super duty down to each option. If I ordered yesterday and my dealer says I'm a 19, and the other truck is ordered 2 days from now from a different dealer, but is a 16 or even a 10 (let's not talk about 2 and assume both dealers have allocations), would the later order with a lower code get built first?
