Whenever I throw my mkz in reverse and begin to backup, it makes a whistling noise, what would be causing that? It only does it in reverse.

My speedometer needle appears to be 1 mph off. I noticed it when I set my cruise control and the needle is always showing 1 mph slower then what my cruise control is set to. I can't figure out why.
