  1. Perhaps the best advise is to get the Super Duty trim, packages you want and stick to it. My gut tells me you won't be able to get a SD as we know it within 7 years. The gas/diesel SD, HDs will probably roll of the assembly line like the Hemi Chargers with a "Final Call" type plaque under the hood.
  2. Am I also mistaken when I read that Chevrolet + GMC makes more HD/SD trucks than Ford?
  3. Just trying to make sure that I have this right, Ordered the KR on 10-28, confirmed 10-30 Heard nothing from Ford since, except "we're sorry, but stuff happened" emails Checked Ford Chat in May, told 'clean build, unscheduled' Ford Authority reports All Trims are being made now" Mid June, still no VIN, etc. Reports (unverified) that unscheduled (mine) KRs, Platts, and Lim will be rolled into 24s 24 order banks for SD's will open mid July The roll over will take place after 24 order banks open the 24 KR probably won't arrive until later in 24 Q: Are the 23s rolled over to 24's price protected as the original order was for a 23, which was price protected? Q: Are the roll overs going to be deferred to a Job 2 or 3? Still would like a KR it'll go with the other KRs in the drive. Dealer still says he'll make it worth my time to trade for the KR
  4. I got the same answer from my dealer & owner. He is still trying to put me back into my KR. My understanding is that when a delivery is made that gives them an allotment back, so its in the dealer's best interest to get you into your truck ASAP
  5. This all is so sad, especially for those who ordered the KRs, Plats and Limiteds during the opening of the MY23 order banks. I am one of those who did so. Really wanted and needed my King Ranch this summer. I've read elsewhere where the higher trims will be scheduled last. However I have not seen any verification of that. I really thought Ford would be on top of their game as the MY23 super duties was billed as an all new truck. Problems with the OKTB and the issues with the EPA diesels and 7.3 should not have happened. Who would have guessed that the first super duties would not leave the plant until March and that no upper trims would be scheduled until the end of July. Meanwhile, Ford's only real competitor, GM, was producing MY23 in December and started MY24 in March. GM is concentrating on building the upper trims now. They expect to attract former Ford super duty orders I don't have time to wait for a truck that may or may not be built. I don't want to hear about supply chain issues. I don't want to hear excuses. I did purchase a new 23 Duramax LTZ premium 3500 yesterday. It had a $6.5 discount off MRSP as it was last years model and only a $150 dealer add on for paperwork. My plans for the summer can go on. Sure wished that Ford had followed through with the excitement on the opening of the order banks for the MY23.
  6. At least it was only pushed back a week. Some guys here had their trucks pushed back 2 months from mid May to late July.
  7. Simply put, when I went into the Ford Dealer on Oct 28 and ordered my King Ranch, I expected it to be delivered as "this years model, not last years." With maybe few exceptions, the soonest that I've seen posted and heard of the KR, Plats, and Limited builds is late July. I expected my truck to be delivered early July, because that is what I was told. July was 9 months out from the order date. If Ford is taking these massive amounts of orders, (remember they were bragging about the amount), the responsibility is theirs in filling the orders that they solicited. Those first KR, Plat, and LImited builds will be delivered after Ford is taking orders for the MY 24 super duties, and probably after the 24s are scheduled for production. Every interaction that I've had with Ford asks if I trust them. The answer is simple. No. When a company isn't trusted, or do what they say they are going to do (i.e. 45 day letter promise) one becomes frustrated.
  8. I checked with a chev dealer, for what its worth, he said there was an 8-10 weeks for a High Country. If that is true, I'd get the HC before my 23 King Ranch, which was confirmed on 10-30-22. I changed the KR's motor to a 6.7 HO from a 7.3 the first week in March. The dealer then said that there were no constraints on the truck then. I'm going to start a pool to see if the 23 comes in after the 24s are produced. Incidentally, there can't be much of a change since they stop 23 production one day and the 24s the next.
  9. I took my 2022 Explorer King Ranch today to the local Ford Store for the rear heat/ac controls. Ford delivered the car without it last July w/o them. Ford promised to put install them when the parts came in. I got an email in December saying that the parts were in, and I could have a Ford tech come to the house to put them in. I call the dealer and tried to make a appointment to bring the car in. He said that Ford made a mistake and that they had no parts for the controls. Later, I recieved an email from Ford saying "ooops, we bad. Sorry. We'll call you later." Happy the parts are installed 11 months from when the car was built and 10 months from delivery.
  10. That was easily solved. I got both. The Expedition is our "road" car and the Explorer is the "local" car. We also use the Expedition if we are going to have "guests" on board
  11. I am afraid of the truck arriving late fall. I would want the 5er on the road...it's warranty will expire in Feb While I am happy for those who ordered in March, I feel let done by Ford. I really feel for those who ordered my22 in 21 never got their truck in 22, which turned into a 23 build and still don't have a truck.
