  1. Fleet order scheduling is a different process from scheduling for stock or retail orders. In addition, the fleet order-to-delivery timetable is much longer than for stock or retail orders and certain fleet models (Police units in particular) have different specifications. Initial scheduling is normally restricted to Dealer stock orders only with retail orders starting to schedule only after the "Okay to Buy" status is achieved after 5 consecutive days of production with zero defects.

  4. Maybe... repeat maybe, have a scheduling notice and VIN number late June or early July if Job #1 production runs smoothly and there aren't more issues with microchips and other factors. Most likely, you're looking at a scheduled date in August or even September depending on production and scheduling factors that are completely unknown right now. Until after the Job #1 Date it's all just speculation.
  5. The "Scheduling Begins" Date is for regular order scheduling. Fleet order scheduling operates under a totally different process. The "OK to Buy" status is issued after 5 consecutive days of production with zero defects but most often occurs 4-6 weeks after the Job #1 Date. There are times when it happens sooner when there are minor changes between model years and there are times when they start scheduling retail customer orders earlier but it's too early to speculate or assume that retail order will start scheduling in early June.
  6. I thought that it might be appropriate at this time to create a new BOF forum dedicated specifically to BEV charging since it's an increasing part of discussions. These photos are of the new TESLA charging station recently installed at the entrance of the Hamden Plaza on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, CT (population 60,000 and a suburb of New Haven, CT) which has historically been known as the "Magic Mile" for its mile of retail shopping in numerous strip malls. The Hamden Plaza is considered one of the first strip shopping malls created. Bob Thomas Ford is located just up the street. On any given day it's common to see one or two Tesla vehicles on the road in Hamden for what it's worth.
  7. Everything gets shipped by rail and is transferred to the carrier company when it arrives at the final rail destination where it is then loaded onto a carrier for delivery to the dealership.

  9. Not just the front end... The whole thing is a complete mess!
  10. Wow... You know Hamden well! The parkway plate was a necessity as I was driving to South Windsor 6 days/week. Friendly's is long gone, Partyka Chevrolet/Mazda was rebuilt about 2 years ago, the Skiff Street bridge was replaced (took about 18 months!), Aces moved to new large facility in Hamden and is selling the Skiff Street property, Hamden Hall built large athletic facility next to Aces, Walmart is now where Bradlees was in the Hamden Mart, Kohl's in the old Caldor's location, Edge Fitness in the old bowling alley in the Hamden Mart, Cinemart Theatre building is a Men's Wearhouse, etc. The "Ghost" parking lot in the Hamden Plaza was torn out years ago. Tesla just installed charging units at the Hamden Plaza entrance. The old Sears property was redeveloped years ago with a Stop & Shop, Staples, T.J. Maxx, Friday's, PEP Boys, etc. Taxes are outrageous and crime rate is way up... armed robberies (lots of minors involved), assaults, auto thefts (mostly minors), car jackings, etc. Even walking on Mix Avenue is risky.
  11. U.S. retail orders are price protected to the prices in effect at the time the order was placed. I'd expect that Ford's policy would be the same for its Canadian customers. As such there would be no reason for your Dealer to try to change your agreement unless there's a trade-in involved and they want to change the appraised value/trade-in allowance due to time and/or mileage.
  12. Thanks for the information and correction... much appreciated!
  13. I always remembered it as a '71 that was bought new to replace the '67 Fairlane Convertible I inherited from my Mom when I was in college. It was equipped with a 302 v-8 and I upgraded the audio and added the Ford wheels and Goodyear tires. The Torino was then replaced by a '74 Mercury Cougar XR-7 and then a '76 Mercury Cougar XR-7.
  14. And here's a front end photo of the 1971 Torino (base model) that I upgraded/upfitted.

  17. I had no idea either that the Jeep Compass was sold in so many markets. I was always under the impression it was primarily a North American model.
  18. Ford Focus Electric range was only about 65 miles. We were lucky to sell one a year and none were happy customers because it was virtually impossible to go that far because of various factors... weather, temperature, air conditioning, driving conditions, etc.
  19. This is the tentative scheduling plan for the production period. This is just a guide for scheduling. This information is tentative and may change at any time. Blue Oval Forums_Production Week Scheduling_2021-03-29.pdf
  20. Just my gut reaction but the whole Bronco launch, even before the Job #1 Date, continues to be a disappointment with the commodity issues and late availability changes pushing back production on desirable models, etc. to the 2022 Model Year. Some of the customers affected will certainly cancel. Those cancellations will make more lower level models available for Dealer stock but overall the introduction image, experience and more has been diminished.
  21. I know that I, and probably the other moderators, would be interested in any information that you can disclose as to the nature of Ford's attempted action, objections, etc. BOF provides support to Ford customers and enthusiasts that isn't available elsewhere and some of the support is provided by Ford employees.
  22. You can't include the Mach-E. It's a whole different market, a totally new pricing structure to compete in the developing BEV market and a lot of other factors that aren't applicable to the mainstream vehicles. The Mach-E is also limited availability and Ford's still learning from the market reaction to it and will adjust their plans accordingly as they have more experience and market data to work from. There's still few Mach-E's in stock for customers to see or drive yet and even with vehicles produced at much higher volume, it takes a year before there's enough inventory in stock and on the road before it starts to get established in the market. The vast majority don't even know that the Mach-E exists yet.
  23. Yeah and at the same time Ford never hesitates to increase prices at every opportunity. And at the same time, Ford constantly hits dealership's with additional expenses, fees, etc.
  24. And the Maverick's price point will include minimal markup for dealerships to work with.
  25. I think because the MSRP is the only uniform, objective pricing reference that is applicable nationwide. Other than A/X/Z/D Plan pricing, incentives vary across the Ford regions making anything other than MSRP an unequal comparison. And add to that transaction prices any comparison other than MSRP is made all that more difficult.
