  3. I'm tempted to suggest that you print out the latest 2008 Mustang Order Guide above and bring it to them! Or you could e-mail them the file!
  4. The Bullitt specifications should be the same for Canada but I's still recommend that you contact your local Ford Dealer to confirm as I don't have access to the Canadian order guides.
  5. All of the options that you listed ARE AVAILABLE on the Mustang Bullitt! The stand alone options shown in the Order Guide are available as long as they meet the restrictions noted for the Bullitt option. The best source for ordering information is the Order Guide which is why I routinely upload it to the Mustang Forum here. The Order Guide is what Ford Dealers use to make sure that we're ordering clean, buildable orders. I hope that this helps clear up the confusion.
  6. I uploaded the latest version of the 2008 Mustang Order Guide (Revised 11/15/2007) which you can find at the top of this page. It includes all the information and ordering restrictions for the Mustang Bullitt on Page 14.

  9. I just checked and Ford's Conceps vehicle ordering system will now accept and provide pricing for the 2008 Mustang Bullitt Coupe. According to Conceps the retail price of the Bullitt Package (54B) is $3,310. Just wanted to pass this information on for those that are specifically interested in the Bullitt Package.
  10. I looked at a 2008 Taurus in stock this afternoon with the Black Leather interior. The contrasting stitching is very subtle to the point that most people wouldn't really notice it.
  11. The 2008 Taurus Order Guide, as well as the public information available at FordVehicles.com, says that the leather interiors have contrasting stitching. Quite frankly, I don't remember noticing on the 2008 Taurus vehicles in stock at my Dealership. I'll be back in my office Monday morning and will look at vehicles in stock to see for myself and post a follow-up message afterwards.
  12. SYNC is a standard feature on Fusion SEL JOB #2 orders and optional on the SE models. Although there's no way for Dealers to anticipate what the demand will by for the SYNC feature on 2008 Fusion SE model, all Dealers stock Fusion SEL models so you should have no problem being able to check out the SYNC feature at your local Ford Dealer. In addition, all Ford Dealers are required to have at least two staff members attend SYNC training meeting that have been held throughout the US. Furthermore, there is a SYNC test taht all Sales Representatives are required to pass. Hope this information helps.
  13. There's a resason why customers place factory orders. Doing so gives you the ability to get the vehicle built with the exact features and options that you want. Whoever places the vehicle orders for the Dealership has a responsibility to review the order and verify that the order was placed with the features and options that the customer ordered. Obviously, no one at the Dealership looked at the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) that Ford sends to the Dealership the day after the order is placed. If it was my vehicle order I'd refuse to take delivery and have the Dealer re-order the vehicle with the correct specifications. You have no obligation to take delivery of a vehicle that was ordered incorrectly! If the additional wait time for a new order is a problem you can always see if your Dealer can locate one with the correct equipment. At no point should you pay a penny more than what was originally agreed... whether you have the Dealer order a new vehicle, swap a correct vehicle from another Dealership or install the required equipment if that is what you decide. Please let us know here how the issue is resolved.

  15. What Ford model did you order and when was the order placed? Have your Sales Representative or Sales Manager given you any information on your order status? If your vehicle order includes options that are "Controlled Commodities" the scheduling may be delayed. Also, for your vehicle to be scheduled the Dealer must have allocation for that week's scheduling for your vehicle line. There are a number of factors involved in vehicle scheduling. I'd be pleased to assist you in any way that I can but would like more information on your order.
  16. I spent quite a bit of time this afternoon on the phone with the VOPC (Vehicle Order Processing Center) dealing with problems in the Conceps ordering system for several vehicle lines. The Job #2 Order Bank for 2008 Mustangs, including the Bullitt Package (54B), doesnt open until 11/08/2007 with scheduling to begin 11/15/2007 and a production start date of 12/03/2007. According to VOPC, the system will not accept orders with the Bullitt Package (54B) until the Order Bank opens and Conceps is updated to accept the 54B Order Code and display pricing. I recently received a message from someone stating that a Ford of Canada Dealer told them that pricing was availble in Conceps. Perhaps they were also looking at the Bullitt Package pricing ($1,895 MSRP) showing on the vehicle options "Help" screen. Unfortunately, I have not had time to talk to my Ford Zone Manager or anyone at the New York Regional Office about the Bullitt Mustang. I'd like to think that the $1,895 price for the Bullitt Package is correct but I'll believe it when I see it. For what it's worth here, I'll share my thoughts here as to what I expect to happen with the Bullitt Mustang... All 2008 Mustang Shelby production was pulled forward this year with all units to be produced by December. The Bullitt Package includes substantially more work that the GT/CS California Special which is strictly cosmetic. The Bullitt Package (54B) options includes performance, axle and chassis modifications similar to the Shelby GT conversion work done by Shelby at their Las Vegas, NV facility. As such, I wouldn't be surprised if the $1,895 charge for the Bullitt Package is similar to the GT Upfitters Option required on a Shelby GT order. If this becomes the case, expect there to be an additional Bullitt conversion fee similar to the Shelby GT's. Ford hasn't officially announced the 2008 Mustang Bullitt other than including it in the updated 2008 Mustang Order Guide. At some point soon there will be an announcement to Dealers posted on the FMCDealer.com website including all the pricing, ordering and production volume information. The thoughts expressed here are based on my 20+ years experience managing the new vehicle inventory for my Dealership. I'll post whatever information is announced officially but until then I fully expect Ford to use the 2008 Mustang Bullitt to fill the gap after the Shelby's are out of production and sold to customers before the Spring selling season.
  17. I've had the pleasure of communicating with Scott Harr now for several months. Our relationship started out simply with my trying to help him find out how he could buy a Shelby GT-H locally at a fair price. My Dealership didn't have one available so my only motive was simply trying to help a Shelby fan get the car they want at a fair price. Over the past couple of months I've probably exchanged at least forty e-mail messages with Scott. After we got to know each other, he offered a number of times to write something to help me and the Dealership I represent. I'm not looking for any recognition for myself as I get all the recognition I need from the great Dealer Principal I work for. I run the in-house advertising agency for Bob Thomas Ford and the other companies that Bob Thomas owns, in addition to handling the websites for two Ford dealerships and managing the new vehicle inventory for Bob Thomas Ford (CT). Scott knows me well enough at this point to know that if he writes me that I'll respond as soon as possible. If I'm busy with advertising projects, he knows that I'll tell him I'm busy with other projects and get back to him within a day or so. Over the past few years I've seen far too many comments from members complaining about poor customer service from Ford dealers. I just want to write here how much I appreciate Scott's message here thanking me for my efforts. I'm just trying to do what I can to do what I can in providing the level of service that all customers should receive. I may not have all the answers but will do what I can to provide the best level of service that I can on behalf of all Ford dealers. Thanks Scott for taking the time to let others know about out great relationship and mutual experience!
  18. I'm sure that anyone that works at the AAI plant in Flat Rock and reads this Message Forum will greatly appreciate the positive experience you've enjoyed. From the dealership perspective, I'll add my note of thanks for sharing your appreciation of what a great product the Mustang is. There's always enough negative feedback so it's always a pleasure to read something positive about Ford and its prorducts from satisfied owners. It's owners like you that help keep the rest of us excited about the great things we expect of Ford in the future!
  19. FYI... I just checked the Ford Conceps online ordering program used by Ford Dealers and there is still no pricing information available. Entering the Bullitt Package Option Code (54B) still generates an error notice. There's a possibility that there may be a pricing announcement in the next week or so as next week starts the new scheduling period that should include the start of scheduling for 2008 Mustang Job #2 orders. Again, if I can find out anything else about scheduling and/or pricing on the Bullitt Package I'll post further updates here for those that are Bullitt Mustang fans!
  20. Our Dealership in Connecticut received its first 2008 Focus a few hours ago. 2008 Focus SE 4-Door Sedan in Kiwi Green w/Charcoal Cloth Trim. My first impression is very favorable. Even though I'm not a fan of the Escape-like "center stack" the interior is much improved and the exterior looks much more stylish and contemporary.
  21. I can't imagine that the Bullitt Package will be available for anywhere close to the GT/CS Package as the Bullitt Package includes substantially more in the way of content and modifications. Considering that Ford has pulled all 2008 Shelby GT scheduling and production forward this year I expect that the Bullitt Mustangs will actually be converted at the Shelby plant in Las Vegas. I haven't had time to check the Shelby Message Board, etc yet but the Bullitt Package looks like it involves conversion work roughly comparable to the Shelby GT's. If the Bullitt Mustangs are converted at Shelby in Las Vegas this will not be an inexpensive package! The Bullitt Package is a Job #2 option and Job #2 Mustang scheduling should start this Thursday. I just checked the Ford Conceps program that Ford Dealers use to order vehicles but it will not yet accept a 2008 Mustang order with the Bullitt Package (54B) option code. Once the Bullitt Package (54B) option code is loaded into the Conceps program it may display the Bullitt Package pricing. At some point there will be an announcement to Ford Dealers with other ordering and pricing information. If the Bullitt Mustangs are sent to Shelby in Las Vegas for conversion, I would expect that the Shelby conversion cost is handled the same as for the Shelby GT's meaning that Dealers are charged separately for the conversion and it will not show up on the Window Sticker but instead on a special Bullitt Conversion Window Sticker. I'll post additional information as it becomes available!
  22. Sorry for being disappointed at your message but isn't the fact that I posted the official Mustang Bullitt information enough? How much of a description of the Bullitt Mustang do you need without photos? If you're looking for a Bullitt Mustang, how much more information do you need to make a decision?

  24. OK... Thanks for clearing that up. I just don't want them to start promoting the product too early and hurting potential sales now. All too often they start promoting models like the Edge last year and then dealers don't get the vehicles until months later and we lose the customers' interest and enthusiasm and they buy something else. They also come into the showrooms and if we haven't received the vehicles yet they at least want brochures which we don't get from Ford usually until after the vehicles start hitting the dealer lots.
  25. I've been complaining to my Ford rep's on a regular basis that Ford isn't buying enough television time. However, the last thing that Ford needs to spend money on now is running ads for the 2009 Flex that no dealer will see for another year. All too often Ford pre-promotes a new model being introduced and dealers don't get the vehicles until months later. The most recent example is the 2007 Edge introduction when Ford starting running TV spots all over the networks in October and the vehicles didn't start trickling onto dealer lots until January. Why give potential buyers another reason why they shouldn't buy a new Ford today when they can wait another year for the Flex?
