92merc
Count me as one of those that would buy a Flex. No way in H3ll I'd buy a mini-van. And I'm a 37 yr old family man. Course, I only have 1 kid, the wife, and cat, so no need for a 7 passenger vehicle. So I settled on a '07 Montego. The Flex will be a success. I think it's the right vehicle at the right time. And the right niche for Ford.
LincolnFan
Me in a minivan? No way. I am 18 years old btw. Flex? Hell yes. Just for the exterior looks.
taxman100
Minivan for us - there is no way I'm letting my wife slam a car door into my beautiful 67 Ford Galaxie in the other half of the garage trying to get a child into the car. Not to mention, trying to get a kid in the car when it is raining. The only Ford product I could consider is the Mazda 5, and it is very unattractive to me. taxman100
and what minivan would be more attractive than a mazda 5. I like the Odyssey, but it is too big and expensive for my tastes. Since it would only be used around town, I'd be looking for something smaller, cheaper, and with a four cylinder engine. I think we'd be happy with a strippo 4 cylinder Dodge Caravan. We'll see what the next generation Chrysler short wheelbase base minivans have to offer, though I hate the idea of owning another Chrysler. I don't need the third row seats, just the sliding doors. RichardJensen
Can you even get a 4-cyl. Dodge Caravan?
Edstock
No, but you can get a 4-cyl Mazda 5.
Anthony
Can you even get a 4-cyl. Dodge Caravan? Yes, the current gen ('07) offers a 4cyl and bases at $19.7K in the short wheelbase. The next gen '08 does not offer a 4, (base price not determined yet, but estimates around $23K). A 3.3 flex-fuel V6 replaces the old four. No short wheelbase model is available.
