roadster2006
Still a work in progress hope to be completed within next week Hope everybody enjoys P.s. one2gamble
making a squished/smaller version of the sport tracs front end isnt such a bad thing and is probably a good idea
Larson
perhaps make the bed a bit longer.
NLPRacing
Get rid of the "Ridgeline like" light bar if you can.
ghstwolf
Get rid of the "Ridgeline like" light bar if you can. Amen (IMO, the fake cab extenders are second only to running boards on a truck for the Ugly factor). Personally, I like a bumper that looks like one (instead of blended in look that Ford used) or perhaps a safari bar.
CanadaSVT
Looks much better than any other year of Ranger!
roadster2006
here is another update i did for it, i couldnt figure anyway to change the front end but the more i looked at it the more i thought i liked it. I am still experimenting though hope you enjoy and please comment
NickF1011
You need to change the kick-up in the bottom corner of the rear door glass. It looks too similar to the design on the current Tacoma. Not thrilled about the bed rails either. Overall look just doesn't look "daring" enough I guess. Of course, it's hard to get daring in the profile view of a truck. Perhaps you could work on some front and rear 3/4 angle views where most of the character lines on a pickup are found.
ebritt
Not bad but the area behind the seat doesent look big enough to justify a rear door. Just make the front doors longter and the delete the rear. :D
stegomon
looks pritty damn good!how about a gen 1 nose but more modurn....like they did with the 04 mustangs!
HadAStang
In a recent interview with Bill Ford, he says they're going to discontinue the small truck segment in the near future.

Blueblood
That would be really damned stupid of them, the Ranger has a very loyal following, and with gas prices never returning to the low levels we were used to I expect the compact truck market to increase. If Ford just redesigned the damn thing the sales would follow. I see nothing has changed, they are going to let all their vehicles die a slow painful death. Ranger, Econoline, Panthers, Focus, etc. You'd think they'd have figured out by now that the way to keep sales and also to increase them is to update the cars every few years. Even vehicles like the Expedition which are getting a redesign for 07 will look pretty much exactly like the old one and will be saddled with the anemic 5.4 at the same time it's gaining more weight! Passing power does sell cars and trucks, and the GM trucks definitely have passing power. The vast majority of people don't use them to tow anything anyways, so astronomical tow ratings don't matter much.. Ford is absolutely clueless, nothigs changed since Nasser left, I can't believe so many people thought he was the problem, it's the mediocre group-think at Ford which is the problem. Sorry for the rant..
swenson88
In a recent interview with Bill Ford, he says they're going to discontinue the small truck segment in the near future. I'd need to see the article before I believe that statement. Link????
hoss96racing
I say make a new ranger and the bronco concept off of a modified explorer chassis, solid rear axel to simplify it and to keep costs down and with the ranger sharing front end styling it would increase common parts to help make the bronco concept more "doable"... Larson
The small truck segment was one that Ford used to dominate, the Ranger was a top-seller until 05 when it dropped down to #3 behind the Tacoma and Colorado. They don't need to pull out of it, just update the dang thing!
timmm55
Your chop looks good. The wheels look a little squished up vertically. But hey it IS a compact! Why oh why isn't Ford doing something about the Ranger? Com'on they had it sewn up....just to let it go. Sad.
