unionj
YOU need to: 1) eat shit and die, or 2) report for duty immediately in Mamoudiya. Your chickenhawk ass is not going to the somewhat safe green zone. Get your yellowback pussy over there---and let a soldier come home to his family. You've held them hostage far too long. This video proves that people like you DON'T "support the troops": http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/11/16/c...n-welcome-home/ Once again I did my time, proudly. I spent 15 of my last 18 monthes deployed overseas and not at some fancy base in Korea or Germany etc etc. Iran hostage Crisis 80. Multinational Peacekeeping Force Beruit Lebanon 82, 83. And just about every other activity we were involved in until 98. Ever been to an Arab country? Ever spoke with the locals, broke bread with them? How about held one down so your doc could pull out decayed teeth with blood spraying everywhere and then have the guy thank you everyday for weeks because the pain is gone? Ever fed masses of kids burgers, chicked and hot dos through the fence every day? Answer this question if you want to have any respect. When did you serve and where? Feel free to answer the questions and then and only then will I make a statement as to how I feel about you, once I have "all" the facts from both sides. unionj
It amazes me how so many assholes screamed after 9-11 "how were they able to attack us here in the US" "how is this possible" "what is the government doing to protect us" Well now we have all these phuckheads attacking those who get paid to fight thousands of miles away and you are safe to roam freely whenever and wherever you wish you still find something to bitch about. I am 100% positive it has absolutly nothing to do with reality but purely the inbred "US vs THEM" mentality many of you suffer from both at work and in politics. It has already nearly destroyed the US auto inductry and now you are doing the same to your country and so blind you cannot see the tree for the forest. I cannot stand either party and am affiliated with neither, you suck and they suck.

mrballsonya
How odd......FOX news is the #1 in cable news.....and newspaper readership is at an all time low.....do you see a trend here....maybe if you are only reading the paper, could be why you are so screwed up.......food for thought. :hysterical: Fox news is #1, because it's not really NEWS Its Entertainment Tv. The average American just can't resist a salacious story or a belligerent argument. We love to hear about what OJ just did or listen to Bill O'reilly lambaste some helpless "Lefty". This "news" is way more entertaining than reading a boring, unbiased article in a Newspaper. The problem I have with Tv news channels in general (Fox News isn't the only one, but probably the worst), is that they are totally driven by ratings. High ratings = High ad revenue, unfortunately in order to achieve those ratings they are required to start veering away from REAL News, compiled by REAL journalists. They have to start coming up with different ways to entertain the viewer, under the guise of providing News, If they don't viewership will fall. In order to obtain these lofty goals, countless writers, producers, and content editors take the Real News and relay it in the most entertaining manner. Sometimes the Real News is so entertaining that it requires no spin, but unfortunately in order to appeal to the average American the Real News usually needs to be "spiced up". I don't want my REAL News to be "spiced up" by writers and producers, I just want the facts and then I'll form my own opinions. Surprisingly enough, Real Journalists follow a code of conduct ( http://www.spj.org/ethicscode.asp ) much the same as Doctors. Real Journalists show no bias, they relay all information that was available to them at the time of the article and in my opinion offer the next best thing to being there. Since most of us can't be everywhere, we have to rely on the professionalism of Real Journalists to bring us up to speed. In most cases, in order to get the unfiltered REAL News we have to READ, whether it be on a reputable web site or in a newspaper. If you're relying solely on a Tv news channel for your info, then you're hearing the news in a very filtered, biased fashion. Do yourself a favor, pick up a paper, read an article from a Real Journalist, and form your own opinion.

I'm still laughing, I just can't help myself. Another angle to this argument can be answered simply by typing the following three words into a Google search illiteracy in America. Or maybe another explanation can be had by visiting this site http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/09/13/...ain838207.shtml . The U.S. is No longer the Best, Smartest, innovative country in the world. Our Education system is dumb when compared to most other developed countries. This is very unfortunate because like crackhead Whitney Houston said... "the children are our future". But obviously spending money on a foreign country (IRAQ) is much more important than preparing our children to compete in a world Market. Remember this, the next time you see a young doctor with the last name RAJALAMBAH, while your grown kids are working at Wal Mart. Why spend tax money on making our kids smarter, when we could spend everything to rebuild Iraq. It just makes so much sense. :shades: Edited November 19, 2007 by mrballsonya

Pew research does studies on newscasts that just report the facts and how many instances a anchor interjects his/her opinion(s). Fox news was on top as far as opinionated coverage. At one time, we got most of our news from "newspapers" and the Evening news. The papers, well they are much like they are now, journalists lean left and right, however, in the Evening news, well it was much more "news" or "facts" oriented. Look how much sway anchors in the past had, with imports or Vietnam, when they did interject an opinion, they did so with appeals for critical thought not mindless submission. I’m not buying your premise that newspapers are unbiased…..look at the NY Times or the LA Times…both lean to the left…as does our local paper the Va. Pilot……it is all driven by their editorial boards…most of these people are products of liberal journalist schools…..like Columbia ……Although our local paper just recently changed their policy of endorsing political candidates, prior to that 90% of the time they endorsed a democrat….so unbiased ..NO…..a lot of the content of any paper comes from the wire services…Reuters or the AP…..where these stories end up in a particular paper is decided by the editor…example; there was a NYT story in our local paper yesterday reporting that a study has shown that capital punishment is a deterrent to murder……because the left generally does not believe in capital punishment this story was buried in the back of the “national” section I read several newspapers everyday and have learned to filter what I read….over time I’ve done the same with TV news and for my money I’ll take FOX any day of the week over the all the others…they lean too far to the left for me…. Here is a link with Bill's smiling face at the end. So Mr OReilly , the king of the OReilly Factor, the man who called this movie Anti American and said erroneously it could cause harm to American Troops, was willing to overlook those points and take our money to promote the movie. We aren't talking about an ad in a show that Mr OReilly has an interest in. This is an ad in the TV show that bears his name. This is a show that he controls from top to bottom. He knowingly took multiple ads for a movie that he he hasnt seen, but believes to be vile. What does that say about Mr OReilly Of course Mr OReilly can make the argument that he is not involved in the sale of ads, he leaves that to other people. OK, but lets think about the scenario at Fox News if that is the case. If Mr OReilly doesnt know about the ads, I would think that the people at his show would know and care about his positions, wouldnt you ?" So the question is, do they know that Mr OReilly is all about the money first , last and every bit in between and thats why they took the ad ? Or is it that they know exactly what Mr OReilly stands for and hate him for it, or could care less what he thinks and they took the ad to spite him ? Is it that no one involved with Mr OReilly actually watches the show ? Which is why after the ad ran in the live show, no one caught it and had it replaced in the replay ? its about responsibility Mr OReilly. They will present stories which support their political view point and suppress those that don't. In a normal world, media which try to undermine the country would fail and disappear. To-day many people are infected with socialist rot, so these traitorous businesses survive.
