NLPRacing
:shades: ...Ford will make about 6,000 Adrenalins for the 2008 model year. In addition to Colorado red, it will be offered in black, silver birch metallic and white suede. The vehicle will be available in January with a base price of $29,775. For $29,775, I seriously doubt it will have the Supercharged 4.6 03/04 Cobra engine. Is there any other details?
igor
I do not know .. it was supposed to be an actual SVT truck with performance mods (3.5l TwinForce) .. but this does not mention it .. Ford either forbade them mentioning the engine, the engine is optional, or it is simply not there. Igor

fla.boy
can somebody update me on what kind of drive train adrenalin will use ? thanks a bunch!
akirby
It will obviously get the same drivetrain as the standard Sport Tracs. This is not the SVT version, just a regular production option package. Maybe the SVT version will have the TF 3.5L.

NickF1011
Maybe the SVT version will have the TF 3.5L. I'm not holding my breath. I think the Sport Trac will be dead before SVT gets anything going again.

akirby
akirby just curiuose as to what your source is? No sources, just reading between the lines. Since they did not mention the engine at all you have to assume it's the current Sport Trac engine options and since it doesn't have any SVT badging nor does the article mention SVT at all then we know this is not a SVT model. Since we know SVT is working on a pickup then either it will be the adrenalin with engine/suspension upgrades or a totally different truck. The Sport Trac had an "Adrenalin" package back in 2004 and this new Adrenalin package seems even better. I do hope there will be an SVT version. I don't care what the engine will be as long as it has at least 380+ HP.
wescoent
Just for reference, guys... Ford Racing will be happy to sell you a supercharger for this thing that'll get you an even 500hp. Not bad for maybe $40,000.

Pioneer
the engine is optional, or it is simply not there. Does that mean you have to provide and install your own?
igor
Does that mean you have to provide and install your own? ok Autoblog and kicking Tires confirmed that THERE IS NO ENGINE MODIFICATION INVOLVED this is an appearance package worth $3000 on any Sport Trac Limited model .. V6 or V8 I still really like it and MIGHT just buy it ... I am debating it .. it looks very attractive .. Igor
JZ150
Like others have posted, I would own an Adrenalin and use it as my daily driver if it had an SVT powertrain. I know I could bolt on a blower but I would much rather have the power adder a factory option.
