NickF1011
Yeah...and according to everyone here, the MOST IMPORTANT thing is profit. Panthers have it, D3s don't. Panthers have it....for now. It's shrinking daily. There's no future for them. Don't you get that yet? Sure, they can keep building them for now, and Ford will, but eventually (not as long as some might want to think) the profit justification is going to be long gone. D3's at least have the potential to make money, if they were styled and marketed properly. With the two additional D3's variants going into production this year (and another Lincoln D3 and refreshed Taurus the following year), the rate of recooping platform costs will increase dramatically in the future. macattak1
We can only hope not. Although it is ugly enough to make people cry. It is very cool looking. But I would not want to drive it with that lack of window view. People would be running into things front and back, left and right! Deanh
It's the way forward. I wouldn't veiw it as that...just a HUGE abberation that screamed BAD management or stock holding bluehairs signing off with their beancounting ignorant self centered pocketbooks NOT their heads...I honestly don't see those speed bumps happening anymore, and for THAt I credit Mullaly.... Yeah..."potential" as in they don't have it now. Panthers > D3s. Maybe 2008 will be the year that the Taurus and Sable are taken seriously as legitimate automobiles. Not the jokes they have been for the past three years.

Ha yup, there won't be a single area where the vehicle isn't superior to a vehicle mentioned IN ANOTHER THREAD...and also the RWD's in the future.......... P71_CrownVic
someone that can't afford a luxury car is the least likely to have the ear of Ford designers Neither is someone that can. Look at what passes as so-called "Luxury" with Ford... FORDS LIST FOR A LUXURY CARFirst, take a Ford and put a different sticker on the front Then add: - 1/2 a gallon silver paint - Fake, plastic wood - $10,000 increase in the MSRP There you have it. You just made a luxury car from Ford

You just made a luxury car from Ford Prove that quote. Thats all. Show me the current/upcoming Lincoln models that have followed that formula. If you say anything about the Lincoln Mark LT, then you still are wrong. Real wood, price is hardly higher than any of the higher end F150's.............. and its going away. Hate for the sake of hate is sad. You have a preconceived conclusion, and will twist anything.............. fact or fiction.............. to support said conclusion. Your house must be a very happy place. Edited January 24, 2008 by Extreme4x4

Deanh
Ît's funny cuz it's true. :yup: 10k...which models are you comparing P? I for one am tired of the escalating MSRP's, may just be me but I have a feeling ( economy based? ) that there could be a huge backlash irrespective of manufacturer, cars are just getting too spendy as consumers want more and more high tech features, performance and luxury options...that, material costs getting steeper etc etc.....hell i'd be happy with a re-iteration of the 2cv! That sure is special paint. :hysterical: :hysterical: Thanks, guys, don't ever stop. It sure would be boring without you.

I'm sure all the MKS owners,if anyone even buys one, will be in a constant state of confusion in a parking lot. I hope thay can memorize their license plate numbers or they will never find their cars. Maybe someone can invent a special silver paint detector so they can tell the Lincolns from the Fords. As Dan Quayle once said "What a terrible waste it is to lose one's mind or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is". Edited January 24, 2008 by Mark B.
