timmm55
I like the headlights from the spy photo and rendering. But thought, for a SHO, it needed a more aggressive front facia. And the "Crown Vic" inspired grill is too chromey. I used some Mustang cues also ....and lowered it.
Mark8LSC CE0464
I love it! I had a 93 ATX, fun as all get out. If Ford did half as good a job as you did, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I dearly hope they do an SHO with the EcoBoost engine.

Below is a "finished"/completed picture I began to chop of the new Taurus, using the two separate images that were leaked to begin with. I'm not sure if I'll finish it though, because the full image has been released on several websites: http://www.leftlanenews.com/wp-content/plu...idg=1&idi=

timmm55
the grill almost looks camaro I can see what your saying (a little..) but by design I logically followed the headlights brought the grill to a center, keeping the headlight/grill break. Yet another LOL

timmm55
Looks like a Camaro with a bigger beak. Another person with Camaro on the brain! Other than they both come to a Vee, there's nothing in common. Look at the side-by-side pics.

Well, the chop isn't exactly the new Taurus, but, yes, that's the new Taurus. See my post above for a "normal" picture of the Taurus

timmm55
Is that really the next Taurus? if so, that looks really nice and sweet. No, the pic you responded to is a chop I did. I thought the camera photo had too much chrome for a SHO and should be more aggressive. Here's a cleaned up version of the cell phone photo:
timmm55
Looks good, but what at the lights in the grill for? Good point! the lower lights would be redundant, so I removed them.

timmm55
Care to reconsider? I'm not dissing your work....its a million times better than what I could ever think of, but..... I'm not here to argue with you....certainly not about design. If you say it looks like a Camaro, that's not such a bad thing. But IMHO it's not the intent, the execution or the result. Did you look at the side-by-side photos of the fronts? The Cam has a single LOOP bumper/grill, my SHO has (like the original) separate headlights with a grill center. Other than they have a recessed grills/intake I see nothing in common.
timmm55
Because I had one, I've always liked the no-grill SHO:
rmc523
Because I had one, I've always liked the no-grill SHO: I personally don't like that look, at least on this new model. It looked okay on the old ones, but I don't think it fits with the new design.

timmm55
Now that I don't mind. Good work. Thanks ;-) What do you think of my (loosely) inspired 1964 Galaxie side spear? It's subtle but a nod to one of my favorite Fords.
