uawfactoryrat
There were postings for Mills, welders, and fitters TWO weeks ago. Is this a record for taking the longest? Was the posting sent by snail???????? Edited April 15, 2008 by uawfactoryrat
Pioneer
According to level and Captain723, all trade reqs must be decoded by the NSA using linked supercomputers to determine if the trades-persons DOE is correct. Linking all those computers together takes time, thus you might have a response before the end of the contract.

Was the posting sent by snail???????? The closed facilities have seen 8 weeks pass since the end of their open window. I think they are the current record holders... so sit back and get comfortable. IndyMW
It's the waiting, and the not knowing that bother me. I could handle the waiting if I KNEW what was going on, if I thought that things were being handled correctly and fairly (that may be contradictory, correct AND fair) OHAP had 8 or 9 MW postings, they were filled, I'd like to know where they came from. I'm pretty easy, just post a notice on what is taking so long, how they are dealing with the issue and mostly POST who gets what openings and why. I know this is complicated, keeping us imformed should not be.

April 13, 2008 General Membership Meeting Chairman’s Report: We have 7 electricians transferring in, 8 millwrights, 3 pipefitters and 1 powerhouse employee. Nick has questions on the powerhouse person as we currently have 3 members in GEN from the powerhouse. **Please note: These are not the official notes of the union meeting. These are only the personal notes of the author. These notes are in no way authorized, recognized or sanctioned by the Union, Ford Motor Company or any of their agents. Respectfully submitted by Mary Springowski So this isn't factual? I've tried hard to trace down fact, not rumor, but I'm not getting answers. level
So this isn't factual? I've tried hard to trace down fact, not rumor, but I'm not getting answers. I can read. It says they have open req's and are waiting for people transferring to fill them. It doesn't say they were filled. They are in the same boat as everyone else. They could have made the same statement the last two months. Everyone knows they have people transferring in if they have open req's. That is all that was meant by this. However, I believe today they all may know more...........

Those figures are what info my bargaining committeeman received, as of April 14th, 2008. He told me 40 M/Ws with seniority of 1972-2005, I only assumed it was M/W seniority, since that's what I asked about. I'll double check tomorrow.
