Does anyone know what the differences are in the engine power of the police CV version versus the civilian CV performance & handling package version?

The police version has 250 hp @ 5000 rpm and 297 lbft of torque at 4000 rpm.

The civlan version has 239 hp @ 4750 rpm and 276 lbft of torque at 4000 rpm.

What accounts for the higher horsepower and torque of the police version?

PIs get the Marauder airbox and a different zip tube. Other than that there's no difference.

PIs have speed limiters now, too.

And don't forget the Rudy Tune. PI's do have a different performance tune, to include higher RPM operation, Higher shift points for the transmission, and yes all have the speed limiter. As I recall, the p73 is limited to 139 mph, the 3.27 ratio model is 129, and the 3.55 limited slip is limited to 119 MPH.

Has to due with harmonic vibrations of the driveshaft, even though the P71 has a longer rear output tailshaft, and a shorter driveline.

They also have dual exhaust.
