Ford Jellymoulds
Or they could call it the Lynx... just don't call it the Tracer. A Ford can sell a luxurious Mercury version of the Focus. What sort of luxurious extras do you get with a Mercury Peter? Velour upholstery and a better quality of plastic?

jpd80
My chop/illustration of a Caliente (larger verion in the Photoshop sction) Hey, I really like that chop and the Mercury grille seems to blend with Ford's kinetic style Maybe Ford gifts Kinetic to Mercury when they move onto their new design language. StangBang
Caliente would be an excellent name. Even though it's a lesser known classic name, it would be good as a contemporary Mercury which is a hot little planet and have an appeal influenced by hispanic culture similar to the use of the Voga name... 92merc
Caliente. Fiesta. I like them both. :P Isn't Caliente the last name of the guy from Frank TV? Ford doesn't need to be associated with that!

Even though it's a lesser known classic name, it would be good as a contemporary Mercury which is a hot little planet and have an appeal influenced by hispanic culture similar to the use of the Voga name... That's one reason I picked it. Caliente: that's hot :shades: It's also a Greyhound race track in TJ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agua_Caliente_racetrack and a casino (never been there) http://www.hotwatercasino.com and a small town in NV. Plus it was also a sub-series of Comet in the 60s, so it has some history. And it's a "C" name for a compact Mercury. Like the Ranger compact series it was used on earlier full sized F150s. It's one of those spanish names that rolls off the tongue well...http://www.forvo.com/word/caliente/ it just sounds good.

Doesn't matter IMHO as it's a last person's name AND it has an inherent meaning of it's own....unlike "Smith" or "Johnson" <<<<OK thta has meaning LOL. Ford Jellymoulds
Why not the Mercury Mascara It is a Ford with a bit of Mascara Cosmetics uses Mercury to make Mascara Most Fiesta owners in Europe are women that use Mascara Mercury like doouble barrel names that begin with M so a Ford Fiesta should become the Mercury Mascara?
