spudz64
Interesting story on the Flex's handling development and how future US Fords willl be more in line with those of Ford's European lineup. rmc523
Interesting, didn't realize they did that. The Flex does drive really well, although I haven't really tried to push it yet.
waymondospiff
Did Ford pick up the Zoom-Zoom bug from their partner Mazda, perhaps? Seriously though - it's great that Ford is aiming to give their cars an identity. And "control" is a good place to go. The overtly sporty, like Mazda, will drive away many customers, but a fleet-wide "feel" of control is very marketable. And it sure is better than "sloppy" from Toyota and maybe better than Honda's "light" identity. Scott
BORG
I would say that ride and handling has to please the customer more than the engineer. Hopefully they are doing their consumer research. Edited December 6, 2008 by BORG

Michael Reynolds
I would say that ride and handling has to please the customer more than the engineer. Hopefully they are doing their consumer research. It appears, per the article, that it was retuned to inspire a bit more confidence in handling...something I'm sure every customer welcomes. StevenCaylor
Still, I wish Ford would get away from the "one suspension fits all" philosophy. I'm glad they are coming out the the Edge and Fusion Sport models. The Flex is available with 18", 19" and 20" wheels. Anyone know if there are changes to the suspension between the three?
