Mark B. Morrow
Is it MKZ based? It looks very good.
rmc523
Interesting... I agree....it's certainly a good chop, but not sure how I feel about it. Not sure I'd use the Continental name either, but that's just me.
2b2
very NICE, Tim & < hint looks like what Audi shoulda tried for with their full-depth grilles this is MUCH better *like* the side sculpting too! another Con_ _ _ _ name I've played around with is CONSTELLATION Whacha think? & you up for suggestions? make the split in the grille wider ie the painted part raise the the bumper 'spears' a bit ( to/near the mid point) and center a prominent Lincoln Star between them ? edit - other wheels? tho these are from the enemy or ...I've liked these for quite a while Edited December 27, 2008 by 2b2
timmm55
A couple of revisions..... BTW it was based on a Falcon w/ a MKZ grill. Edited December 27, 2008 by timmm55
rmc523
I agree with 2b2 that the grille should perhaps be a bit wider apart.
2b2
love it when you do these variations-on-a-theme, Tim & glad you liked the Breytons too just wait, Rmc Tim might not be done yet (hope) Edited December 27, 2008 by 2b2
timmm55
I agree with 2b2 that the grille should perhaps be a bit wider apart. I don't want to go any wider than this. (a few other changes)
rmc523
I don't want to go any wider than this. (a few other changes) And that's as far as I would put it too....much better IMO. Continuing to look at it, something seems 'off' in the rear quarter panel area to me, I can't quite say what though.

rmc523
I think that may help a bit....I feel bad making you change it several times now.
timmm55
I think that may help a bit....I feel bad making you change it several times now. You didn't make me change anything LOL. I'm trying to make it "read" better. I certainly don't mind a critique if it's purposeful, and I'd made a lot of changes along the way since the first one (posted for humor only.....it's a roughy, where I started). Definitely prefer the one on the right. The design (in general) reminds me of a poor man's Continental GT (Bentley).

Hmmm, good point, maybe that's why it's called MK'C' as in Continental?
timmm55
Revisited, because it was one of those "eeew" chops I thought could be better. Too tall and thick, needed to be sleeker....so I chopped and channeled it. Yeah, it is "C" as in Continental, harking back to the 39 Lincoln with a little Bentley thrown in. And you can see where the rear wheel looks flattened.....needs more depth (later!) Edited August 18, 2009 by timmm55
rmc523
I like the new, updated look. Here's my MKC:

Reigner92
Very, very nice! Although it seems to be missing something towards the bottom area on the sides...
timmm55
In the interest of making it sleeker I ditched the tear drop headlights, and made a lower intake grill, reshaped the roofline a bit and gave the rear wheels some depth. As a side note, I looked at a beautiful 98 MArk VIII LSC with only 38K miles. I just don't like VIIIs in white.
