Ford Hybrid symbol

Recommended Posts

Found this on the internet. I think Ford Hybrids should have a green symbol like this, or maybe electric fords...

I proposed something similar to this a long time ago, the thread's probably still around somewhere....

Instead of making the emblem green, I made the chrome surround green, or you could spell out HYBRID on the hood of hybrids.

I rather like Ford's current approach to hybrids. The design is simple, the badging is clear, but also simple. I mean sure, right now hybrids are a novelty, but they soon won't be. Do you plaster "H Y B R I D" in huge letters across the front of every vehicle Ford builds or put a green oval on everything?

In a few years, hybrid badging at all is going to be as silly looking as the "Fuel Injected" or "ABS" badges that adorned cars in decades past.

I'm sure you're right, but you could milk it in the short term.

That said, I do not at all mind simple badging as Ford currently uses, in fact, I very much prefer it especially over GM's hybrid badging (see GMT900 hybrids). That's why I suggested making just the chrome surround of the Ford emblem green rather than the entire emblem green.

I want some big lightning bolt decals for my FFH when it comes in. Also "CAUTION 275 Volts!"

They should get attention and perhaps dissuade tampering with the vehicle. They might even prevent a first responder from doing something stupid - heaven forbid.
