DUCKRACER
I'd settle for a high-grade Factory Five replica or one of the Superformance re-do, done by Pete Brock. The Daytona Coupe is the epitome of a GT machine. Then again, Superformance make the Ford GT40 MK2 big-block car, complete with Gurney bubble, just like Le Mans. The tub is 90% identical to the original, and is carried on the GT40 Registry. http://factoryfive.com/ http://superformance.com/ Ah, yes, Peter Brock. May God rest his soul...... At least he went out driving a race car.
timmm55
I have heard that you pay $250,000.00 for a new Bentley Continental and after about 7,000 mi it is considered "high mileage" and only worth about $8,000.00 Any truth to that? Check used car prices on eBay and autotrader....it's not true.
rmc523
FYI, the new "baby" Rolls (7-series size) will be named the Ghost.
DUCKRACER
Check used car prices on eBay and autotrader....it's not true. Thanks for all your work. I guess the GM at my local Ford dealer was just blowin' smoke. Everyone else there is great. Thanks again.
Critic
Thanks for all your work. I guess the GM at my local Ford dealer was just blowin' smoke. Everyone else there is great. I was thinking when you asked that, if you let it soak in. I know the Rolls dealer where I live, you have to make an appointment to sit down and talk about ordering/purchasing one. There not open 7 days a week with salesmen sitting around waiting for you to walk in thru the door. Heck for any Rolls that's going for $8K, just let me know, I'll be there in 30 minutes. If I had a Rolls, I'd also try to find a modern-day Norma Desmond to sit in the back, and I'd be her pool-boy.

rmc523
I saw a Phantom today....they're huge, it's as big as my Flex. I like them though...
Ford-150
I dunno, I happen to like Rolls-Royce's vehicles, but yes, Bentleys are awesome as well. Have you all ever seen any Phantoms or PDCs (Phantom Drophead Coupe) before? I see them all the time and think they look great. I love the Rolls in your face look. The Bentleys have gotten boring if you know what I mean.....Boca....

2b2
Bentleys are only 'boring' to those can't afford to own one (or an RR)... ...just imho Edited April 28, 2009 by 2b2
rmc523
Bentleys are only 'boring' to those can't afford to own one (or an RR)... ...just imho He's talking more about how you see a lot of them (Bentleys, and even RRs, but less-so) down here in South Florida....that's why they're "boring"....you see a lot of them, they're less exciting to see each subsequent time. Critic
I stumbled upon this thread/site quite a while back. This is from a guy in Monaco who details cars AND yacht's for the super-super rich and beautiful people. You might really get a kick out of this. So many exotic cars and wait til you see how the filthy rich treat them. Have fun and really enjoy this thread. Not to many women in the pics... makes me wonder about him, not that theirs anything wrong with that. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=54813 Bookmark it if you want to continue to read it or look, it will take you hours to get thru. Reminds me of Ft. Lauderdale....maybe I'll have to take pictures of all the fancy cars I see. I detailed a 750Li last weekend.....you can tell they hadn't taken care of it all that well. There was coffee stains in the front and back carpet, the seats were dirty, there was countless dents and dings in the paint all over the place, and it definitely needed a wax too, but I wasn't able to do that due to time constraints.....(I was doing it for a friend anyway, so it was ok). It looked 100000 times better than it did when I started though.
Ford-150
Bentleys are only 'boring' to those can't afford to own one (or an RR)... ...just imho If I took pictures of every Bentley I saw, you would start to get tired of them too. Hell if I took pictures of every exotic or what you guys consider "rare" car, you would get bored of them. Something I rarely see down here are Ford GTs. Which is unfortunate because IMHO their owners actually use them instead of buy them for image. Put it this way. I get way more excited seeing a Z06 Vette than I do a Bentley. And I am not jealous cause I can't have one. If I had the money to buy one. There would be a ZR1 in my driveway instead. Screw luxury. I had a holiday in Nice with my family last year which is right next Monaco, we spent a couple of days in Monaco. Gotta say it didnot impress me much it is full of boy racers & poser's in Ferrari's looking for somebody to race with round the hidden F1 circiut, the wife noticed Jenson Button walking along where the pits normally are situated during a F1 Grand Prix. Gotta say l enjoyed Prince Rainier car museum he has got a few Model T's in his collection, Casino & shop prices were a were only for the stinking rich but is was nice to see how the other half lived, my daughter spotted a Mcdonalds their which was a bit more in our league although the French are clueless when it comes to making tea, it's gotta be the most posh big mac branch in the world with absolute stunning Monaco harbour scenery from its balcony. Gotta say l would recommend the Nice Carnival that was massive the restaurants were great and Italians were OK, only downsides were the French, dogs crap everywhere, driving - the French don't have any rules, every evening we went out we passed the same few hookers which made the wife laugh as they didnot get a lot of trade because they were still hanging around when we got back my god they were rough. Yeah, I saw 2 Bentleys, a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, and a Lamborghini Gallardo all at the same light just a few minutes ago. And I too wish I saw more GTs down here......one of the (if not THE) most beautiful cars out there, IMO. I only see them occasionally. Eh, I see a lot of Z06's too, they're not all that exciting either LOL.
