Reigner92
I think this is where the interceptor concept can really be used. A lot of people thought it was absolutely fantastic. The lengths of the two vehicles are almost identical... and i believe that with a little work the Ford Flex could be turned into an Iconic car, something ford really needs right now. There would be nothing else like it, styling, ecoboost, possible hybrid? What do you think? Ford Flex : Length 201.8 in (513 cm) Width 80.1 in (203 cm) Height 68 in (170 cm) Ford Interceptor: Length 201.6 in (5121 mm) Width 76.4 in (1941 mm) Height 54.8 in (1392 mm) Edited July 30, 2009 by Reigner92
2b2
ya know, Reigner, that looks sooo natural, I bet you nailed what the MCE will look like - esp from the front on your side view, the HLs/grille looks a tad low & imho they'll have to make some changes to the back side - no idea what to suggest overall: /
fou_bleu
Looks all good! Only problem is that it would need something from Ford's Kinetic Theme to be remotely real... Edited July 31, 2009 by Aussie_Ford
itguy09
Not digging it at all. Especially those nasty side vents.

Reigner92
I like the rear you added but not the new pillar, nor the extension of the pillar into the roof. The rear treatment is very well executed though, and definitely completes my idea. thanks!
2b2
I'm glad you like some of it, Reigner I'm not sure about the pillar but it was real easy to take it out: (& fixed the door cutlines I forgot about earlier too - - meant to stretch the tail light... oh well) Edited August 1, 2009 by 2b2

I do have to question a bit as to how you feel the Flex is not already iconic/distinctive... I'm not a big fan of greatly angled (upwards) beltlines, so I'm not a big fan of that interpretation... sorrry.
ice-capades
I'm still wondering about a potential Country Squire edition!
Reigner92
I think that this Flex rendering I created could bring out a Ranchero version

rmc523
I don't believe so. Huh, well I don't remember exactly what I said, but the general idea was that I liked it, and it'd be a good MCE, and one thought I had was to raise the headlights to that crease that the fender vent also lies on (in the side profile).
