Is the F-150 Fords most profitable car now?

[citation needed]

This weeks Autocar Magazine pointed it out in their confidential column. A senior person at Ford pointed it out when talking about the F150. You can choose to believe it or not, but it was hardly sensational journalism.

The taxpayers' cash, plus £400m of private investment, will secure 2,000 jobs at the company's Halewood factory on Merseyside."

Check the date on the article! You will find with not to much effort that TATA has now rejected the loan from the UK Government. Instead they have found private backers to help them out because no doubt JLR's recovery is gaining strength! Also please be aware that JLR has had less money from Government than Ford. And who's benefiting from that other bailout known as 'cash for clunkers'? Wait till that ends....... Ending soon in Germany and the US......watch those sales dry up....

Much better to be in JLR's position where sales are picking up quickly without any government socialism....

Excuse me, the money Ford is recieving from the government was given to them, or at least approved before the bailouts started, and they're Department of Energy funds (I want to say they're loans as well, but I'm not entirely sure about that) given to retool plants to produce more fuel-efficient vehicles.

As for C4C, 1) Japanese companies took the larger percentage of vehicle sales through the program and 2) just because the government decided to do more "stimulus" that did happen to end up benefitting Ford doesn't mean they're getting a bailout, plus, the money goes to the people who bought the cars anyway......not to mention the UK has a similar program.

I will say that I can agree with you somewhat that sales will slow again with the conclusion of this program, will they "dry up" or "collapse," no, I don't believe so, but they will drop.
