I like how you slide your agenda in as caring about the spending. Were you doing this when bush was in office? Didn't think so. It also amazes me how some 'Christians' can be so selfish and petty. Didn't Jesus want people to live a life as close to his as they possibly could? If so I can’t believe that Jesus would think it is ok that 45 million Americans are without access affordable healthcare. But hey, you have yours don’t you! Thanks to the UAW and the Labor friendly politicians they endorsed which, btw, most likely were Dems.

I don't think there were any Americans when Jesus was around. I don't think Jesus had health insurance either.

Jesus lived the life of poverty, his disciples lived in poverty in mans eye's. They got their riches in their faith not living as man saw as rich.

A terrible comparison.

Almost all politicians fall under the category of....failed..... republican and democrats alike.

The God I worship is... paycheck. Paycheck is a fantastic God, He Provides me with actual, tangible benefits, and material goods. Paycheck keeps my offspring fed, clothed and sheltered. Without Paycheck, I'd be destitute.

I used to worship god, but no matter how hard I prayed, or how many touchdowns I scored, I just couldn't move my 7 person family out of my refrigerator box. Once I started worshiping Paycheck, I was healed, enlightened, and my family was housed .. Hallelujah. Paycheck makes you work for his faith, but once you really believe, and work real hard, he will take care of you.

I'm sorry if this post is offensive to those that have "real" faith. If you're true Christians then I know you'll pray for my heathen ass.

Please realize though, in my mind, your prayers hold the same value as that drunk street person that lives on Michigan and Trumball, you know the one.... the one that spews incoherent nonsense, as you drop change in his cup.

Why didn't you people acclimate to cooler gods like Zeus, or Odin? Those Guys could kick the hell out of Jesus' ass. Odin was a bad Mofo, and had way better stories written about him than either Jesus or Muhammad.... So why all the love for Christianity and Islam.

I think, I'm going to start the church for Loki, and the later day Norse saints. I can write as good of a story, as anyone else. If my story is good enough, will you start blindly obeying me? If you do, maybe I'll start writing better stories, some of which will involve parting lake Michigan. I might even write a story about shooting lasers down on the sodomites, or maybe I might reign Godzilla down on all the nonbelievers. Follow me.... Listen to me... Give me all your money. Every Sunday I'll be more than happy to take your money, and also your self respect . What a great racket, I love religion.

Praise god, allah, odin, zeus, buddah, jesus, whatever. They're all the same entity, simply figureheads for the manipulators to take advantage of the weak minded. I worship fairy dust, Goblins, Dinosaurs, Fred Flintstone, snowcones and Paycheck.

All Hail Paycheck.... Loki and the church of later day washed up Norse God saints and others.

Disagree about comparison. I said "If so I can’t believe that Jesus would think it is ok that 45 million Americans are without access affordable healthcare".

I'm talking about now, not 2000 years ago. Don't sidestep the question - do you believe Jesus, if he so desired to weigh in on the HCR debate be for or against?

I was born and raised Catholic - haven't been to the church for many years. Even so, I consider myself a Christian and try to do the right things. It bothers me (being selfish) that there is a possibility that our hc benefits could be taxed. But you know, if this enables the unfortunate ones to obtain healthcare then so be it. I just hope/wish there were a robust public option in the final bill :-(

Not only do we have the highest debt our country has EVER had, but now in his and his democratic cronies infinite wisdom are going to raise taxes on those of us that make less than 250k to pay for the "improved" healthcare program. On top of that those of us that have as they call it "cadillac" insurance, we now will pay a 40% tax on what it costs Ford to provide that to us!! a single person costs Ford about $10,000 a year so your tax will be about 4,000 additional. divided by 52 weeks thats 80 dollars a week more you will not be seeing. Family costs about 24,000 a year that translates to 184 a week additional tax!

To all the Obama voters,Thanks for the change I "cant" live.

Also before it starts I am not a racist just because I dont like Obama, dont even go there. I didnt like Bush either!

What i would like to know is if they are taxing us on these benefits then why can't married couples who both work at ford be carried under one policy!!! I cannot be under my husbands. It is very interesting when one of us are sick and can't get info on the other with Blue Cross!!!

I DON'T TALK LIKE ONE! What the hell does that mean!?? Oh I get it. Like most of you here you had everything handed to you on a silver platter without so much as breaking a sweat. Bunch of damn spoiled bratts. WAHHHH we're going to run for office and change things... WAHHH we're going to show Gettelfinger and King!!!! You ain't goin' to do nothin but sit behind your computer and act tough. You know why? Cause to do these things it takes work and brains. As for the most part all I see on Blueoval are a bunch of damn chicken shit crybabies. Most of you vote for the assholes that are hell-bent on destroying the Labor Movement then cry because your leaders at the local, region and national levels can't get things done to suit you. If any one of you vote for these assholes then either shut the hell up or quit! You all sicken me..........................................

Do not bring religion and quotes from the bible in to the discussion if you can not defend them properly.

I think most true believers would argue that Jesus or better yet God is in control of everything. If 45 million or however many it is without health care, then he will either provide it for them someway or it was in his plans for some to be without.

When you bring religion into a discussion you open yourself up to speculation, there is no one that knows what Jesus or God wants, Christians simply follow the text and the rest is faith.

To answer the question simply;

Yes I believe in God

I also believe there is nothing that happens in world that he does not have control over, so if 45 million where meant not to have health care , then that's how he has it set up.

We are mere mortals we may not understand all that happens but I am a firm believer that all things happen for a reason.

Now on to the issue at hand Health Care and things we do have control over.

I agree something needs to be done with health care in this country, but seeing I do not trust our politicians one bit. I simply see this as a band aid and I do not honestly believe they will get what it is needed out of the bills that have been passed.

There have already been earmarks added to the bill simply to get certain congressional leaders to vote on it. I feel they will rush this through leaving many gaps like they have since I have been paying to attention to politics.

We are slowly becoming a socialist country that has sold out what made us great in the first place. Industry is dieing in the US and we are becoming a service based country. Industry is what made our country great and I weep for my children and grandchildren and the future we are heading towards.

I see no one in DC on either side of the isle that is really doing much for this, if we worried more about our industry and keeping jobs in the US we would not have a need for socialized health care because everyone would be able to afford it.

I know I got off track a bit and if i did not answer your questions completely I will check back in.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land" 2 Chronicles 7:14

MATTHEW 25:31-46

31. "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

32. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

33. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

34. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35. for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;

36. I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'

37. Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

38. When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

39. Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

40. And the King will answer and say to them,

'Assuredly, I say to you,

inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

41. Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

42. for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;

43. I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'

44. Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'

45. Then He will answer them, saying,

'Assuredly, I say to you,

inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

46. And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Just read in my local paper that Obama favors taxing employees that recieve high-end health insurance plans from their employer (that's us folks!)

He wants his fellow democrats to change their opposition to this tax. They are opposed because many of their constituents are union members who recieve these benefits. The article went on to say that this is one way to pay for health coverage for millions of un-insured Americans. The name of the article is "Obama backs high-end tax" and it is found on page 10A of the Jan. 7 edition of The Monroe Evening News........................Well us union members had to know there would be a pay back for the governmant bailing out GM and Chrysler..............................Right????? All those cold-hearted

conservatives who are against national health care coverage for millions of un-insured Americans are naive to think that somebody is going to have to pay the bill and there is no such thing as a free lunch........................Right?????? Well at least we got cash-for clunkers!!!!!! :finger::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Thanks for the reply. First, I didn't quote from the bible. Second, I believe the person who posted this diary brought religion into it somewhere upthread. But I digress. You are right, nobody knows what God is thinking. But I believe that God is not going to take care of the folks without healthcare. It is too bad that our elected officials will not get together and do the right things without having other agendas - political, earmarks/pork but I guess we won't see this change in our lifetime.... We are a socialist country now and have been for a long time. It's just the degree of socialism most people can't agree on. Our jobs are leaving the country and you are right - it's both sides. But, by far, the republican party has done far more damage in this area that democrats. Yeah, the first thing someone will say is "what about Clinton and NAFTA" Blah blah. NAFTA came out on a republican congress and yes Clinton sold us out on this one..

In closing I agree that if we had our good paying manufacturing jobs in thus country and our fellow Americans would buy American we would need a very small HCR bill,,,,,,,,

FAiled attempt to blow up a plane. This wasnt a success like 911 when Bush sat with a puzzzle look on his face waiting for some one to tell him what to do. Or when Bush waited 6 days to open his mouth after the shoe bomber attempt, or when Hurricane Katrina hit Bush left people dying in the streets. Do you mean those memories. Didnt think so no similarity whatsoever.... FOrd motors would not be selling a vehicle if it wasnt fro the economy turning around so your wrong again Bubba, Like I said Thank Obama for that. Get your facts straight and quit praising Beck and Hannity guys that dont give a rats ass about your job...Guys who wanted to see Autoworkers go bankrupt and take pay cuts..
