I thanl Ford for picking the ball back up, and no one else.

Now I would like to thank Obama for bringing back Bush memories.

NCTC director Michael Leiter remained on ski slopes after Christmas Day airline bombing attempt

Go ahead and read on and see it's the same guy from 2007.

Please Die explain the "change"?

For the record these appointees were appointed by none other than yours truly G.W. Bush. I agreee Obama should have cleaned house when he arrived I guess he just hasnt had the time yet. So once again do your own research before you open your pie hole Bubba!

It's a lost cause with this one cap. The obamadrones like die will defend anything and everything he does, regardless of the merits. Just let it alone. some people need to crash before they can see beyond their own narrow universe...some never will.

Just because you say the recession is over does not mean it is Die.

The recession is not over so far we have had one increase quarterly GDP (3rd quarter) unless you know for a fact that we had an increase in the 4th quarter technically we are still in a recession.

Facts I am sure you will ignore.

Obama made stocks rise the same way Hannity blamed him day in and day out that it was his fault that americans was losing their money when stocks were slipping. So if Hannity says its Obama fault when stocks falls then it must Be Obama also to blame for stocks prices rising....You Agree with your buddy Hannity correct? Its funny how I never hear you or Hannity giving the President credit FOR rising stock prices, but you tried and convicted him and blamed him when the prices were falling ONCE AGAIN STIFFNECKED HYPOCRITES............

Have we had two quarters of GDP gains ?

re·ces·sion 1 (rĭ-sěsh'ən)

n.

1.

The act of withdrawing or going back.

2.

An extended decline in general business activity, typically two consecutive quarters of falling real gross national product.

Real Source, not from some site that anyone with an account can update.

The 3rd quarter was the only quarter that had a 2.2 gain in GDP , Do not go with job growth because you will lose that battle as well. So my position stands , unless there is a rise in GDP for the fourth quarter the recession is still on.

Real gross domestic product -- the output of goods and services produced by labor and property

located in the United States -- increased at an annual rate of 2.2 percent in the third quarter of

2009, (that is, from the second quarter to the third quarter), according to the "third" estimate

released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP decreased 0.7 percent.

I am sorry again if I do not rely on your information that can be updated by almost anyone I will stick with the *facts*.

Maybe I will be proven wrong, the 4th quarter did have the holiday season included so we may see another quarterly gain. But to claim we are out of the recession yet is premature.

Calm down Die I am sure we will see another GDP dip in the 1st quarter of the new year when that report comes out, besides Die has been claiming the recession has been over since the second quarter of 2009.

Uh .....you don't need two quarters of gains to end a recession.... technically.

You only need two declining quarters to signal the start of one.

While I agree that the recovery is shaky, without two quarters of decline the recession is over.

Its an indicator

From a guy on the other side.

I'd worry more about employment trends at this time. The number of unemployed and particularly the number of workers who have given up is getting serious.

Many look to the stock market to indications of an improving economy, and it often is a leading indicator since profits are usually rising, however there are things I see coming that will hurt profitability in 2010.

Its an indicator

Look at the fundamentals though.

Pumps On Full

Stocks

Given the fundamental stories out there, including the precipitous drops in state sales tax revenues, unemployment, plunging government income tax receipts and the like, the fundamental view would be that stocks should be mired near their recent lows.

But that is simply not the case.
