Ken Block - Gymkhana 3

Recommended Posts

Pioneer: I actually have to say that car is a lot closer to a production Fiesta than the NASCAR Fusion is to the production Fusion. The NASCAR Fusion doesn't even share any body panels or anything with the production car (other than the blue oval badge). The Fiesta appears, to me at least, to at least share some body panels and possibly headlights? Not sure.

Either way, cool video - thanks for posting it, jpvbs.

Ford press release

Built by Olsbergs Motorsport Evolution (MSE), the 2,425-pound Gymkhana THREE Fiesta sports a purpose-built Olsbergs engine capable of up to 850 brake horsepower, but is restricted to

650 horsepower to give Block the torque band needed to control the car. Equipped with an Olsbergs MSE Maktrak (magnesium) six-speed paddle-shift sequential transmission, it is capable of 660 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm and needs a mere 1.9 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph.

Ford is getting some pretty good press out of this. They need capitalize on it an offer up a Fiesta RS/ST.
