fordmantpw
My link The turbos glowing red and spinning at 200k RPM is impressive! Of course, the naysayers will say "but this is only 1600 miles, and how will it stand up to long-term abuse?"
StevenCaylor
Wow, 100 mph while towing 11,300 pounds. I wonder what a panic stop would have been like. Edited November 19, 2010 by StevenCaylor

That would just show that the naysayers didn't watch all the videos. It already did 150k on the dyno. A bunch more abuse on the logging trail. theoldwizard
I wonder what the fuwl and oil consumption was ?
puddlepirate56
I wonder what the fuwl and oil consumption was ? Same for me! 1606 miles divide by ???? = MPG and add in average of 82 mph! I am so looking forward to when ford releases those numbers. I wonder if any one has a clue of when they are going to officially release them? :hyper:
mustang_sallad
i bet they won't release them, cause it'll be like 12mpg or something, which would be really good actually, but it doesn't SOUND good, especially if when the number gets taken out of context. BrewfanGRB
Absolutely love it! Some people might think torture tests like this might be silly or unrealistic. But I think it's as accurate indicator as you can get of how the engine will perform long-term. Much of the reluctance (as it might be) will be "ehh, it's a V6...it's not strong enough, not gonna do what I need it to do". Well, hello...how about pulling 11300 pounds at redline for 1600 miles over 24 hours without a break? (I am assuming they are truthful in saying the ONLY reason for stops was tires and gas--no oil change, etc). In the 3 tests done so far, NO owner will ever do these. (Sure you might put 150,000 miles on the engine, but not at maximum cold to maximum heat, not at full throttle). Pretty damn amazing. I want one!! (And I have no real need for a truck, but I think the F150 is just cool).
