V8-X
If the problem isn't corrected, the belt for the power steering pump may become detached from the pulley, making it suddenly more difficult to turn the steering wheel. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45218616/ns/business-autos/
NickF1011
Hmm. When things become "misaligned" on the crankshaft, you can run into a lot bigger problems than simply losing your power steering.
V8-X
Hmm. When things become "misaligned" on the crankshaft, you can run into a lot bigger problems than simply losing your power steering. Um, yeah. And heard on the news this morning that part replacements for this recall is low (non-existent), due to the events earlier this year in Japan. Wait? Aren't most Toyota's here in the US built with US parts? Or at least that's what Yota likes to tell us.
Hydro
^ Yup. Now they'll throw US under the bus and say the defect parts were American, but the replacements will be manufactured "properly" in Japan. Then the toyota folks will spooge all over toyota for stepping up and fixing the problem for free
weiweishen
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45218616/ns/business-autos/ When I tried to buy my first car, I test drove a used 99 corolla. I had to used both hands to hold one side of the steering wheeel in order to keep driving straight. The dealer told me that the car was perfect fine. Seems that Toyota will never fix this problem. 97svtgoin05gt
Who needs steering anyway??
Ford Jellymoulds
Runaway Toyota deathtraps that can't stop, with no brakes and now they come with no steering as well, all the attributes you want in a modern day boring bland Toyota cars. No wonder everybody is buying bikes these days in the UK and not Toyota's deathtraps. I think l stick to my trusty safe Old Skool Kool Fords, would not have it any other way. Who needs to go to Florida anymore for scary rides, when you can just pop into you local Toyota dealer.
