Old timers...

Recommended Posts

I haven't been here for awhile....still have the 2002 GT Vert and we are looking for an 03-04 Terminator....toy time again.

We bought a 2006 CPO GLI, (mine) - DD and a new 2008 R32 wife's DD....Mercedes is gone.

Now we are looking for another toy as noted, missing rumble......and taking the SVT Focus to the Mustang vlub just doesn't do it for us.

It is at a local Mustang seller and is for sale finally.

great to see all of the old timers!!!

Sold the 01 Vert with 23k miles to some schmuck who backed - i mean smashed - it into another car in a parking lot about 10 minutes after I'd signed over the title to him!

Anyway, miss the stories of drive shafts breaking and tranny's falling out. The overvlow from the police impersonator forum was always good for a laugh and IPIE is STILL the most-unsafe-for-work message thread that has ever fucking existed. All good things...

:boring:

Can't seem to break these Mustangs. I have to say they're screwed together well, never left me so I couldn't get home or finish a track day. The suspension components, powertrain, the powertrain and body electronics all seem to be bullet-proof.........no weird stuff breaking or failures of any kind other than a battery once.

After six and seven years respectively of continuous Mustang ownership, I'm very impressed.

Don't be bitter - give the man a chance!

:shades:

Bitter indeed... :slap:

Well, here we are six months after His Royal Messiah-ness has been crowned Lord Of The Universe. How ya feeling about that vote now? The Libs used to be satisfied with a slow, incremental crawl to the left. Obama's retarded predecessor planted the seeds of this move to a giant, all controlling government, but this puke has us on the rocket-sled track to fascist/socialist oblivion. With all of his "Tzar's" and his turning over of everything not specifically nailed down by the Constitution to that most ethical :hysterical: of organizations "ACORN", he'll have himself quite a domestic army to help him run things. And it's an army that is answerable to no one but him. "Cap and Trade", Obamacare, the continuing un-stimulating "Stimulus" money-pit, the GIANT bailouts to certain "Special" banks and businesses, the the escalation of hostilities in Afghanistan, etc., it'll be a wonder if we ever get out of this financial hell-hole we're heading down... :sos: :titanic:

Wow. I just came upon this thread. I can't believe all you guys are still around. Its funny to see Tony Viviano still gets crap 10 years later. You guys guys bring back a lot of fun memories (cruises up PCH, track days at Buttonwillow, etc.).

I sold my 99 Cobra in July '08. I needed something with larger back seats now that I have 2 growing kids. So I bought a Chrysler 300 SRT-8 and love it. I told the kid that bought my car to take care of it for a couple years because I'll probably want to buy it back. Not sure if that's what I'll do or just start over again with an '03-'04.

99 Kobra, good to see you're still around. It was cool meeting guys like you at SoCal events all those years ago. These days I spend most of my board time on the SRT boards (www.srt8oc.com/forums/). I'll probably be back here more often in a couple years down the road. Good to see you all!

HITMAN!!!!! and the rest of you reprobates live!!!!

We sadly still have the 2002 GT Vert now with 91,000 miles, still flawless and in possession of a Cloth Cobra top...

I am enjoying the R32 & the GlI as daily drivers and we are 1/2 assed shopping for a Terminator or GT500 used as a new toy...still

I took a new job and I am buried at work most of the time...but as I went bacl to Lockheed Martin my retirement goes up next time I retire.....

We still go to all the Mustang shows/cruises we can and love the 2010....just out of space.

We are selling our 2002 SVT Focus we replaced almost everything on it in the last year and now it hardly gets used, so time for it to go

to a new loving home....if anyone knows someone who would appreciate what it is and wants one let me know, 91K on it and it still

gets 32+ highway at 75ish

Well, after 10 years and 29k miles...and lots of fun... I sold the 99 this past week. I'm glad it didn't go local so I wouldn't run the chance of seeing it and having withdrawals :) The guy who bought it only plans to use it like I did, fair weather/car show car...and he trailered it home. Now I can't decide if I want to find a low mile 04 Cobra or a used Shelby GT500 :)

I wonder where all of those photos are of all of us in our '99 Cobras getting pulled over on the PCH in Malibu because you were "speeding."

Not sure how I stumbled onto this thread but it's cool to see all the names from the early years. You guys that think you have garage queens ain't seen nothin yet. I still have my black 99 Cobra and it has a whopping 5780 miles on it! Might be interested in selling the old girl if Ford brings back the Boss 302...

Have you changed oil yet? That is low mileage! I think I can see the side flares. What else does the Roush kit have? Have you done any mechanical mod?

The Roush kit includes the side skirts with side exhaust, rear wing and rear bumper corner skirts. The car has 4.10 gears, a Pro 5.0 shifter, March underdrive pulleys and a Hypertech tune to correct the speedo for the gear change. I also have all the original parts to put it back to completely stock.

I miss all the Cobra guys. I only had several GT"s over the years, and never made it to the Cobra level.

What was the name of the girl with the Cobra vert that also had a career as a professional singer.

She had her own web site . I've lost touch with so many people.

Tony you may remember who she is.
