67cougar289
Has anyone heard anything at all about the $50,000 incentive for skilled trades to return to production? I am not getting any info from HR or UAW at my location and was wondering if anyone else heard anything. After the contract passed, I was told it would happen in the 1st quarter. Now, I'm told that 'they are still working on it'.

67cougar289
Thanks for info. Got the papers yesterday. All skilled trades jobs are NOT the same. I have my reasons and they are just that - mine.
fordd
WHY????? why would you want to do this???? I can think of 2 reasons why someone would want to do this. 1. A low seniority tradesman may be stuck on an off shift and going back to production may be the only way to get to the shift they want. 2. A low seniority tradesman could be worried about the step in the placement hierarchy that could place them in a location they do not want to be. (That is, if it ever comes to this.)
